Pittsburgh casting agent Nancy Mosser is taking applications for extras in "Dogma", the Kevin Smith movie that begins shooitng March 27th in Pittsburgh. Extras are, basically, visual padding in movies -- the people who appear on camera to help fill the frame in crowd scenes and public places but who never say a word.

"Dogma", which is scheduled to shoot here through May 16, stars Matt Damon, Ben Affleck, Linda Fiorentino, Salma Hayek, Chris Rock, and Jason Lee. Smith, whose previous films are "Clerks", "Mallrats", and "Chasing Amy", will reprise his Silent Bob character alongside Jason Mewes as Jay. Much of the cast is already in town rehearsing, according to Smith's Internet site.
