Me and my best friends, Dave and Rob, relentlessly begged and pleaded with our parents to let us play hookie and make the trip to Vulgarthon from Brooklyn and Staten Island. We've all been huge View Askew fans for years now, but never made it to the film-festival. When the tickets for day one sold out, we were devastated. Luckily for us, we got a second chance; I've never hit the redial button so many times in my life! I was ecstatic when finally, after about an hour, I heard the sweet sounds of a live, human voice on the other end (as opposed to the bitter tones of a busy signal or recording).

Vulgarthon was, without a doubt, one of the greatest and most memorable experiences of my life. I got the once in a lifetime chance to meet -- and greet -- some of my favorite actors and filmmakers, see a collection of fucking awsome flicks that I couldnt have seen anywhere else, and spend the day ditching school with my two closest buds... FUCKIN REYNOLDS STYLE!
