![]() We get to Red Bank!!! To everyone I met or talked to on Saturday. I'm sorry I was such a goof. I was brain dead. I had insomnia for a week and half before I left (I hadn't done anything this cool in years!!!) Plus only 3 hrs sleep after that long ass trip. So, I was very sleep deprived. I might of gotten a few things screwed around. A 14 hr drive to Red Bank from Flint, MI was pretty much uneventful. Me and Scott got to Holiday Inn about 6:30 am, thankfully they let us check in early!!!I slept for about 3 hrs, then met Rey down in the lobby a little before 11. We waited for about 4 hrs for Luke to get in from Kansas. We later found out that his flight into Newark was way late. Me, Scott and Rey got tired of waiting for Luke. So we head out to the Stash. Of course we got lost on the way (the theme for the trip) I was video taping the drive there instead of being the navigator. I did a map for the Yahooo Group, but forgot to print one up. What a bonehead!!! We finally get into Red Bank. We go into the Stash. I head to the back of the store to get my prized tickets. I saw Vincent sitting in the back, he is busy with someone else so I pick up both of my buttons from this cute blond. Finally Vincent is free!! I give him my ticket #'s. He asks me if I wanted a signed "A Better Place" poster. "Sure, I like you I'll flip you ten bucks." I even got a smile out of Vincent! While at the Stash, I picked up the new Bluntman and Chronic Graphic Novel, (AWESOME!!! Go buy one now!!!) Chasing Dogma GN, a Buddy Christ dashboard buddy (what is up w/having no velco or something to put it on your dash???) and a Dogma and Clerks Bumper Stickers for my Jeep. We had lunch at the restuarant across from the Stash (the name escapes me) the food there kind of sucked and they charcoaled Rey's steak (it was suppose to be Medium). Just as were we finishing our meal. A group sits down next to us. One of the gentleman looked like he could of been Kevin Dad. I didn't want to bother them. So now I might never know. After that we start to head back to the Inn. We tried to find a Radio Shack that was open. I need to get a connector to hook up my DVD player in my room. Of course all of them we closed since it was just after 6. Me & Scott drop off Rey at the Inn. When Rey got in, 5 min. later Luke gets in. So we go searching down 36 to find a store open that I can get this damn connector. We went to a few stores but they were all sold out. One store told us that there was a Radio Shack at the Mall. We get to the mall to get my stuff ($40 ouch!) Strangely there was a head shop next door. I have never seen a head shop in a big mall before. (I need to move to NJ!) We go out to the parking lot and my car alarm battery dies. I'm so thankful that I was at the mall instead of BFE when it died. Get to the Inn and go into Morgan's after dropping of my purchases and to take a shower. Wow!!! That woke me up! We hang out there for about a hour and a half nothing much is happening. So we head back up to the room and watched the deleted scences from Dogma and Chasing Amy. We all passed out and got about 5 hrs of sleep. Woke up on Sunday and I drank a shit load of coffee and got ready. Went down to the lobby just before 1 for the Tour that Jesse aka SuccessfulSinner was putting on. I am glad I did, low and behold he is late. Finally he gets his shit together, and people starts to head out. Me and Scott decide to hit the last stop first, The Marina Diner. Beth aka Chedderfish and Pat were in the booth behind us. We ended up having a discusion on Relgion while we eat. As we were finishing dinner, the rest of the tour shows up. Jesse walks in and order a tea. We pay for our meals and go outside to bs with everyone. Scott starts telling stories of being a pickle vendor at the Michigan Renaissance Festival. Pat is right you should tell your big breasted women stories first. It started to rain, so we all head out. The guys gave us the directions to the Quick Stop. Of course we got lost on the way. So we stopped in this grocery store off of 36. A nice lady was finishing putting her stuff in her car, she gave us directions and then said. "you know what I will take you there." So we followed her to Quick Stop, thank her, then go into Quick Stop. I got a pack of smokes, a Mountain Dew and a pack of wraps. When we got done there we were debating on whether or not the video store was still open or if had closed down. Just then a guy walks up with 2 videos and says "What do you mean they're closed?" it was 10 to 5. Talk about a classic moment!!! He was walking back home he lives in the Blue house on the corner. Scott talks him into coming back over so we could get a pic of the moment, even though it is raining out. We left Quick /stop and he head North on 36 to hit th e Turnpike. We get there and they don't give a choice of going North or South. So we get on the Turnpike. Found out that we were heading North and had to turn around at the next exit. Thankfully there was no Toll. Sorry Pat and Beth!!! I want to thank all the residents of the Red Bank area for all of their help this weekend!!!! We get back to the hotel and chill for a bit before heading down to Harley's. We go down to Harley's and I got to meet Ming, what a cool guy!!!!!!!! Don't worry Ming, I will not get shot living in Flint. I hung out there of a bit. I liked Smalls film he was in, then headed up to Rey's room and watched "Jay and Silent Bob Strikes Back"! I wished I would of stayed at Harley's and watched DJ Andee's stuff I heard it was great!!!! Went to bed at about 3 am on Sunday, got up around 7:30 for Vulgarthon!!!!! Day 1!!!! Got to the Theatre met and took a pic of me and Kevin. My son today saw the pic and said Mama and Daddy, sorry son but Daddy doesn't wear glasses, has red hair and that it was Silent Bob. LOL!!! Then went into theatre 2 and got a seat. About 10 minutes later, I saw Jeff Anderson in the hallway. Me and Scott went out there and I got his autograph on my hat and got a pic of us together. I only got 2 autographs that day Jeff's and Kevin's (later at the bowling alley) Went in and watched "Now You Know" That movie rocked!!!!!! Went out after the Q & A, to smoke a cigarette. Started talking to this guy that was out there about how much I loved the movie. Then I asked him what he thought of it. He says "I better like it, I am one of the guys who financed the film" Brian O'Halloran came out a short time after that and got a pic of me and him. Went in and watched the rest of "Big Helium Dog". I enjoyed it more the second time I watched it. Then we watched the Jason Lee Message. BONG!!!! Dude, what was up with your hair? You looked like "What about Mary" I laughed the whole way though it. Mr. Lee you are one funny sleep deprived guy. Then there was "Vulgar". For people it was either a great film, or it sucked. Me, I thought it was a great film and a great big Huzzah to Bryan Johnson. You Rule!!!!! I really enjoyed the film, but then again I am a twisted fuck. At the end of the Q&A, I asked what time we had to be back. Brian O'Halloran answered "Hell, if I know, sister" Which is too cool, cause my close friends always call me brother or sister depending on the moment. Me and Scott went to Dublin House, the best meal and coffee on my whole trip. A NY Strip w/a baked potato!! Done perfectly!!! When we got back to watch "Jay & Silent Bob Strikes Back". Kevin asked if there was anyone out in the lobby left. So I yelled out in the hallway that the movie was about to start. If anyone remembers what Kevin said, please let me know. I watched J&SB SB, my 8th time seeing it. I noticed for the first time Holden's place is called "Potzer's Inc", how funny!!!! Then we saw the outtakes. I truly can't wait to get the DVD!!! After the Q&A it was about 11:30 or so. I went to the Bowling alley. Man was that place packed!!!!! While watching the band, Cohee Lunden (John), passed by me 3 times. On the way over to buy a Merrick CD, I ran into my ex Scott, talking to Jennifer Schwalbach, he was showing off pictures of our son, they were the older ones. So I got out the new pic of him. Jen says what a cute little girl. Sorry Jen but that is a little boy. He has really long blond hair that goes down to the middle of his back. (My little hippie!!). We talk to her for a few minutes, and get a couple of pics of her with us. I got them back today and it looks like we dye our hair the same color! How cool is that!! My son saw the pic and pointed to Jen and said cousin. No son, Jen is not my cousin. My son is too funny!!! (he is almost 3) I make my way to get my CD, not realizing till I got there that Kevin was signing stuff. So I bought my Merrick Cd and got my Day 1 hat signed by Kevin. We hung out till about 1:30 or so. I have Scott drive back to the Inn. We get to the light on Broad St . He asks me if there is right turn I red. I don't know. So he goes ahead and does it and amazingly enough, there was a cop behind us and we get pulled over. Luckily she just checked his license and lets us go. She had just pulled someone over from MI, just 5 min ealier! Get back to the Inn and passed out. Day 2!!! My best day of them all!!! I woke up at 9:30, had the alarm set for 8:30 but forgot to turn it on. Hurried up got dressed and brushed my hair. Went out to the lobby to see if anyone needed a ride. I have a Jeep and was the only one going in my ride to Day 2. Pulled in the parking lot across the street from the Theatre. Noticed the person next to me locked their keys in their Jeep Wrangler. I went up and got in line. Ming stopped to talk to me and I got his autograph. "You sure you want me to ruin your hat?" Yeah right Ming!!!! He signed it: Flint Rocks! Ming. Shortly after Beth aka Chedderfish got in line behind me. We talked till we got to Kevin. Thanks Beth!!!Or so I thought....for letting Malcolm use your camera so I have a pic of me and Kevin, for Day 2. Went into the theatre got my seat way up front to the right (if you are looking at the screen) Since I was by myself that day I could sit where ever I wanted too!!! While waiting, Harley came in with one of her Grandmas (I belive it was Jen's step mom) Harley came up and sat right next to me. I asked her if she was having a good time "Yes" Then she danced around for a bit and found out that Jen's step Mom is from Saginaw (about 45 minutes away from me) and of course showed off pics of my son. Kevin came in and asked how we were enjoying our time here. I told him our Clerks story and when I got pulled over the night before. Watched and enjoyed "Vulgar", even though I had a screaming migrane for most of the day. Awesome Movie Bryan!!!!!!! After the Q&A went out for a quick smoke break. Came back in and saw the Jason Lee Video again. I watched "Jay & Silent Bob Strikes Back" for the 9th time. We had a few minutes before the deleted scenes to be shown and Kevin asked if anyone had any questions. I asked him about how many Mac (Macintoshs) were in Holden's office (Potzer's inc) Kevin gave me the answer of 4 or 5, I thougth that but I was looking for a more definitive answer. We watched the deleted scenes. Kevin was still a little baffled about the girls cheering for the lesibian scenes. Kevin, you did write and directed Chasing Amy. I am sure you picked up alot of Lesbian or Bi women as fans, from that flick. No Q&A after the deleted scenes we were all too hungry!!!! I had dinner at Dublin House again. What great food!!!!!!! I give 5 stars. During the Dinner break, I got a ton of autographs. Yes I was playing fangirl. John aka Cohee Lunden , Ernie aka Rick Derris, Brian Lynch, Brain O'Halloran,Vincent, and Bryan Johnson. I had a great time talking with everyone!!!! After the dinner break went in and watched "Now You Know" and I enjoyed it more the second time!!!!! During the Q&A, I pointed out to Jeff that during the first time they sneak into the house, you could see the red camera light all over. Everyone in the theatre booed me. I turned beet red and slunk down in my chair a bit. Right after that someone mentioned that the transvestite should of been Vulgar. Only me and another guy laughed at that. What can I say I have a good imagination, and I have a very twisted sense of humor. After the Q&A I went out for a smoke. Came back in and Jeff and Kevin was in the lobby signing autographs and talking to people. I went up to Jeff and apologized and told him how much I really did enjoyed the movie. That I watch a movie the first time for the pure enjoyment of it and the second time for minutia. Got his autograph for the second time then walked over to Kevin. I got his autograph and showed him a picture of who the culprit was who stole my pen when he was taking my order for day 1. "Oh what a cute little girl." "Sorry Kev that is a little boy he just has really long hair like his mom." I thanked him for such a wonderful time in Red Bank, in case I didn't see him again before I left. He asked if I was going to stay and watch "Big Helium Dog". Which I did. But I stood in the back cause my neck was hurting from sitting in the first row all day. So I got to watch the flick with the Viewaskew reds who were standing at the top. After "Angry Naked Pat". I went out to the lobby, bumped into Bryan Johnson, Pat, and the cute Korean girl from Montreal. I am sooo sorry I forgot you name. They asked me if I was going to the bar for Karokee. I said no, I didn't know they were going to Morgan's. I got back to the Inn. Walking up to the door and Bryan J and the cute Korean girl (CKG)ran up to get in the door. You need a room key to get into the door. We were walking to Morgans and Bryan said that he was dissapointed that he got to see no boobs at all that week of Vulgarthon. So me being me. I turn around and lifted up my shirt and showed off my boobies to Bryan. The CKG asked "Are those real??" Yes, I was luck and blessed with a 38D bra size. We ended up talking about me being an ex stripper now data processor. Time to make money off of my brains instead of my looks. We go sit down. I actually had a drink, first one since August. They kicked us out at almost 2 am. We go out to the lobby and I talked with Bryan and Ming, before heading up to the room to pass out after such a long day. And No, I didn't get lucky all weekend! Even if I did you think I would post it here? I think NOT. I wake up the next day watched the Chasing Amy DVD while packing up and 2 of the deleted scenes "Mata Hari" and "Tell'em Steve-Dave". We finally got out of there at 1:30. We were the last ones to check out. Me and Scott went to the Stash to spend what cash I had left over from the week. We parked right behind the Stash, but we forgot to put money in the meter. Walt Flannigan walks up and asks me why I was hanging out back there. Forgot to put money in the meter. He lets us in though the back entrance of the Stash. It was nice to look around without a ton of people in there. I bought Green Arrow Issue 1-4, (Man , I wished I had gotten them all! I read them all at work the other night and I am kicking myself in the ass for not getting all of them!!) A Buddy Christ shirt for my son, and got a Stash keychain for my bestfriend Melissa. Also, I had Walt sign my hat. My one bitch about the Stash is no bags or boards for the new comics. Hell, I live in Flint, MI and Comic Relief always bags and boards my new comics for me. Maybe that's because me and one of my friends would always go in there at least once a week and drop over $100 in comics and Wizard cards. Yes, I do collect comics, have for years now. We bummed into Pat and the CKG again. She had Walt sign her foot. I have been to alot of concerts and backstage, but I never saw anyone ever get their foot signed. Strange. We left there and I had Pat take a pic me and Scott in the doorway of Jack's Music. We went into Jack's Music looked around for a bit then bid our farewells to Pat and CKG from Montreal, damn I wish I could remember her name. On the way out of town we got gas (98 cents per gallon and they even pump it for you!!!) Then we went to McDonalds for lunch. After lunch we were in the Jeep waiting to turn right to head out of town, and who was across the street waiting to make a right on to Broad St. It was Kevin Smith!!!!! Another thing I found out the day before, my Jeep Grand Cherokee is 2 years younger than Kevin's. How wierd is that!!! I barely bring home $1300 a month and I have a newer Jeep than Kevin. Life is truely strange and bizarre. Thankfully Scott did the whole drive from Red Bank, NJ to Dearborn, MI. It was about a 11 hr drive, and he let me sleep from Ohio to Dearborn. I crashed out down there that morning. Got our pics developed and picked up our son. Dropped Scott off home. Then proceded to drive home in rush hour traffic. I got home in Flint, MI around 5:30 pm on Thursday. I really missed my puter, I was going though withdrawals!!!! In closing I had a great trip and met some really cool people!!!!! Can't wait till the next event!!!!!!
