Instructions for installing a StartUp Logo:

1) Find and backup the original StartUp logo (titled "LOGO.SYS")
It resides in the root directory which is usually the "C" drive.

When moving it, I would suggest copying it so when you insert
the new StartUp logo it will prompt you to overwrite the original,
therefore you know you are inserting the new one in the right place.

NOTE: If you cannot find "LOGO.SYS" that would mean you have
certain files on your computer hidden. You are able to remedy this
   either two ways:

   A) Go to WINDOWS EXPLORER and choose VIEW, down to OPTIONS in the
dialog window and enable "SHOW ALL FILES"

   B) Switch to MS-DOS (you can do it while still running Windows 95)
       and move the files.

2) Using WINDOWS EXPLORER, locate your new logo file, which was extracted
along with this text, and copy it to your root directory. You will be
prompted to overwrite the original, choose YES.

NOTE: If you use DOS, the line would be as follows:

          copy c:\temp\NEW-LOGO-NAME c:\logo.sys
(The *.sys would be the name of your new LOGO.SYS file)

3) Once you've completed the above, restart your computer and the new
   StartUp logo should take effect.

NOTE: If you can't find your LOGO.SYS file, chances are Windows95/98
has included it within another file. If this is the case,
simply place the new logo in the root directory.

SIDE NOTE: If you didn't find your LOGO.SYS and installed a new logo
file but wish to return to the old Windows StartUp logo,
simply rename the LOGO.SYS to something else and the original
Windows 95 StartUp logo should appear.
THIS IS ONLY IF YOU COULD NOT LOCATE THE ORIGINAL LOGO.SYS

If you want to replace the "Waiting To Shutdown" and
"Please Shut Down" screens, they are titled "LOGOW.SYS"
and "LOGOS.SYS"...I don't believe you can replace these
with animated logo's but someone could prove me wrong.
