Jason_Lee_Live says: Thanks for joining in!

ozzmium_head in Onstage3 asks: Hey Jason (i'm a big fan from K.S.A) since you were a pro skateboarder what inspired you to be an actor and did Kevin Smith have any affect on it (or helped you out)?

Jason_Lee_Live says: I became interested in acting because of movies and that's all I wanted to do. I knew I was growing less and less interested in skateboarding and I knew I needed something else.

Jason_Lee_Live says: Kevin helped me by putting me in "Mallrats" which was my first movie.

DishDiva says: What are some of your favorite movies?

Jason_Lee_Live says: My favorite movie right now is the "Apartment." I hadn't seen it before and I have been watching it everyday on DVD. It's an absolute classic.

DishDiva says: Now you must be asked this question a lot lately. . .

MaNiacalMaNiac56789 in Onstage3 asks: For your upcoming movie, "Stealing Harvard," what was it like working with Tom Green?

Jason_Lee_Live says: He was actually very low key. Not the Tom Green I had been used to seeing on television and was very professional as an actor. And when he was in character, he was VERY funny!

Stuart-Hamilton1 in Onstage3 asks: Who is your favourite comic book character? I ask cause a lot of your films seem to feature a lot of them? Stuart

Jason_Lee_Live says: I never really got into comics. I was always skateboarding. I don't have one because my upbringing only consisted of skateboarding.

ogjuankenobi in Onstage3 asks: Did you and Tom have some crazy moments behind the camera's of "Stealing Harvard"?  Your previous DVD commentaries have given some insight to your on-goings (i.e.-skating around parking lots, etc).

Jason_Lee_Live says: Again, he was very mellow, and so was I because you tend to be tired on the set. What we did do together was ride skateboards and that was fun because I hadn't done it in a long time.

qtee4042 in Onstage1 asks: Jason, hi, in all the movies you have been in, which character are you the most like or that you can most relate to?

Jason_Lee_Live says: It's a very general answer, but there's a lot of me in everything I've done.

arcticat88 in Onstage1 asks: I love your quirky (I know you'll hate that word ) characters . How do you  choose your projects?

Jason_Lee_Live says: There's got to be something a little different or funny about them, and have a good overall package (director, story, actors).

tycannailmeanytime in Onstage3 asks: Will you appear in Kevin Smith's new film, "Jersey Girl"? If so, what part will you play?

Jason_Lee_Live says: I don't know what the role is, but Kevin is putting me in for a scene.

ChasingJason in Onstage3 asks: Are you still interested in recording an album? I hope so.

Jason_Lee_Live says: Yes, but probably not for another few years.

ogjuankenobi in Onstage3 asks: So since your role in Almost Famous, are you now more interested in singing/the "rock-star life"?

Jason_Lee_Live says: It was interesting to pretend and kind of nice to see what that world was all about. But I'm generally more mellow.

banky_edwards09 in Onstage1 asks: what are some of your goals with the jason lee foundation for the arts?

Jason_Lee_Live says: I'm going to be buying a building soon so I can shoot films in it and use it for a great exhibition space. The idea is to expand my collection and support a local gallery and use the space for others to show there work there also.

BlindFanBrodie in Onstage1 asks: I have been a fan for long time. Blind days, I have been trying to find an old board for my wall for years, but can't afford $1000 any tips or clues?

Jason_Lee_Live says: I myself have to buy the ones I didn't save from my career on ebay. People have collected them and I bought my last one for $1600 where as brand new you could have bought them for $60.

glittersparkles2005 in Onstage1 asks: How did you get your start in acting? I'm trying to get my own. Also, I wanted to say I love you in all your movies (especially Kevin Smith ones).

Jason_Lee_Live says: I knew an acting manager, so it's helpful to know people. When I told her I wanted to act she sent me on a few auditions, and the first audition she sent me on was "Mallrats."

Sweet_lil_thang3 in Onstage3 asks: Yo jason! What has been your worst injury that youve suffered in skateboarding?

Jason_Lee_Live says: Cracked pelvis, broken wrist, stitches in my shins and MANY sprained ancles.

Jo_Potter in Onstage3 asks: Jason, do you prefer comedies to drama, or a mix of the two?

Jason_Lee_Live says: A mix of the two. Anything good that poses anything unique. I take anything that comes that feels right to me. I'm not out to search for a drama or a comedy.

Jason_Lee_Live says: All of them. Just because each one was necessary and offered me something different and all were ultimately responsible for where I am now.

BlindFanBrodie in Onstage1 asks: i heard you went to a Beck show in the past week and i've seen you in the past at Dnosaur Jr... what other music influences you?

Jason_Lee_Live says: I'll just name a big list, Johnny Cash, Hank Williams, Bob Dylan, Nick Drake, Bjork, Sigur Ros, Radio Head, Broadcast, Cocteau Twins, Motzart, Miles Davis, John Coltrane, Chet Baker, Stan Getz, Beethoven, Schubert. That covers it for now I guess.

kzfeist in Onstage1 asks: Regarding your art collection, have you seen what the market is doing in animation art and will you add that to your collection?

Jason_Lee_Live says: Sure, I'd love to get some original animated stuff from the golden age of animation.

jc_enigmajinx in Onstage3 asks: What was it like to play the "bad guy" in Dogma?

Jason_Lee_Live says: It felt good because in the previous two movies I was the sidekick and in this movie I was able to be on my own and let me do something completely different than what I've done before.

banky_edwards09 in Onstage1 asks: Who or what do you draw inspiration from or get inspired by?

Jason_Lee_Live says: Music, movies, art, photography, and a nice relaxing Sunday afternoon at my house.

Boricuachula81 in Onstage1 asks: What do you miss from your childhood?

Jason_Lee_Live says: Not having so many damn responsibilities. I have all the people that work for me, appointments, meetings, talk shows, and all that jazz. I miss the days of sleeping in and chosing whatever I wanted to do without the call that says, "Oh this is to remind

Jason_Lee_Live says: you you have a photo shoot later today."

droidguy1119 in Onstage1 asks: What kind of things would make you immediately turn down a script?

ElipticalBeauty in Onstage1 asks: Do you chat much online?

Jason_Lee_Live says: I'm online every day checking my e-mail. I'm on ebay a lot checking for old cameras. And sometimes I got to Kevin Smith's message board on his site.

SKYHO69 in Onstage3 asks: Who would you like to work with that you haven't already done so?  Actor? Director?

Jason_Lee_Live says: Gene Hackman has been in a few movies that I've been in but I didn't get to work with him. Frances McDormand was in a movie with me and I didn't get to work with her and I'd like to. I'd like to work with the Coen Brothers.

DishDiva says: Jason, you go out of your way to help someone in your new film "Stealing Hardard." What's the nicest thing someone has done for you lately or that you have done for them?

SplashyMacaroon in Onstage3 asks: In the Dogma Essay, Kevin Smith describes your characters in his movie snarky. Would  you consider that to be true?

DishDiva says: That snarly underhanded kinda guy.

Jason_Lee_Live says: I always feel proud when I help an artist. Recently my girlfriend surprised me with a visit to the Hollywood Bowl where we saw Schubert live.

Jason_Lee_Live says: Yeah, and I loved it.

sk8ter6666 in Onstage3 asks: hey jason..also like in your movie mallrats(and since you said every charecter you've done is similer to you) Do you enjoy videogames?
