It’s coming along nicely. We’re on track for an end of August Stash Bash West (just settled on the theater for the post-Bash screening/Q&A). Heads up: we’re only gonna have 850 slots, and tickets are looking like thirty of forty bucks.

The events we’re lining up…

– Tentatively (very tentatively), Stash Bash West is gonna be held on Saturday and Sunday, August 28th and 29th.

– Tuesday, September 7th, we’re gonna be holding a “Clerks X” and “Jersey Girl” DVD signing (for you L.A. area folks, this will be akin to the two Dave’s Laser signings I did for “Dogma” and “Strike Back”).

– We’re gonna start the bi-monthly comic book pro signings in October (and wait’ll you hear the names we’ve got in store for ya’).

– If this theater works out for us, we may have finally figured out where to hold our first West Coast Vulgarthon, closer to Christmas.

• AP picked this one up so we thought we’d share it with you as well. Readers of the site saw Kevin announce that he got married…again…To Jen over this
  past weekend in Vegas to celebrate his birthday. Here’s the big story!

• We’ve finally got a line with our pals at Buena Vista who hooked us up with sweet menu sceens from Clerks X! They’re very slick and we dig the way that
  they spiff things up, yet still keep the nature and tone of the film intact. A fine, fine job. We’ll have a LOT more on this exciting set in the coming
  weeks, including your first look at a TON of what else is inside this puppy. If you’re as stoked as we are to check this one out, we know you’ll be back
  here waiting for more. And we’ll give ya a hint…Next week!

• Just some slight modifications to Kevin’s schedule for next weekend in WizardWorld Chicago. As always, get there when the doors open, and make a beeline for their ticket lines, you’ll need a special ticket for all of these events (the signing as well, if they stick to tradition):

• Our man on the ARENA UK scene is back with scans from this month’s issue. Two pages with Kevin and a HUGE new piece with Damon due to
  Bourne’s release. Click the scans above, of course. They’d be pretty dang hard to read the way they look right now.

• Some more new pics of Kevin’s historic UK Q&A session have surfaced. We’ve got a few locally, but you can check out bunches more HERE. They’re a little stretchy but you get the idea!
• The trailer for Affleck’s “Surviving Christmas” is on the big screen attached to most copies of “Collateral”.
• Apparently, rumor has it that Kevin was indeed spotted with a film crew with him in the Vegas area. Of course, as the above AP story
  revealed, he was filming a new Roadside Attractions segment. Should be a great one!
• A few of Will Ferrel’s famous Jay & Bob quotes show up in this site touting the tall one for President
  in 2004.
• Our old pal the Buddy Christ shows up (in modified form) in this blog.
• Brad’s out of town this weekend, so Chris has the helm — Be sure and send your scoops to the SCOOPS

• We reported on this one a couple weeks back, as it’s got references to Clerks, but now, with this
  poster , it seems like there’s REALLY gonna be
  some undeniable nods! We’ll be keeping a closer eye on “My Big Fat Independent Movie” for certain now.

• DATE CHANGE: That game show we mentioned in last newsbites with all the 37’s has been postponed to a later week this month. It won’t
  be airing today. We’ll let you know when we’ve got the new date.
• Pauly Shore’s long in the can new flick has gone under a name change, but the site still confirms
  that Jason Mewes’ cameo is in there. The movie is supposed to get a limited release in September through select Regent theaters and a DVD release
  in January.

• Wow, it snuck up on us this year and we missed it by a day! On behalf of ourselves and all the fans, we’d like to wish Kevin Smith a very happy 34th birthday, and many many many more. Kevin: Thanks for another year of seemingly endless entertainment, and we can’t wait to see what you’ve got planned for us between 34 and 35. Here’s hoping that you took an Atkins break and had yourself some birthday cake! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
