- For those of you wondering where Affleck’s oft-seen goatee went, the IMDB may have your answer:
Hollywood actor Ben Affleck was urged to shave off his goatee before promoting his upcoming movie Jersey Girl last week – by the film’s bosses. The Hollywood hunk was advised to discard his normally present facial hair by a number of people – including Miramax boss Harvey Weinstein – because it makes him look further removed from his character in the romantic comedy, which also features Liv Tyler and Affleck’s Gigli co-star and former fiancee Jennifer Lopez.
Affleck says, “There was a general consensus from the marketing people. They said, ‘You have to look like how you do in the movie. Otherwise it’s weird for people.'”
- Jersey Girl is the film of choice this week on GuessTheGross.com. Fans can come to site, guess the opening weekend gross of the film, and win DVDs.
- Another piece on Kevin’s Toronto appearance, from the University of Toronto’s paper, is available HERE along with a nice new photo of Kevin with that now infamous podium.
- It’s funny how the press made such a story out of this one, as it’s just the result of an answer from the Playboy interview, but today AP/Yahoo picked up the Michael Jackson as a car story.

- And finally today, USA Today presents this funny little story attempting to find a new mate for Affleck. Let it be known that these two webmasters are more than willing to settle for any of Ben’s throwaways on said list, since they seem to think most of them aren’t good enough for the dude.
