• Well, this is stuff I didn’t even think worthy of newsbites, just some minor stuff that’s been on my mind. First of all, we’re over 30,000 hits now, and we’d like to say thanks. News Askew continues to grow through word of mouth and your links and we appreciate that. Scooper participation is at an all-time high, which makes it easier for us to get the news online fast, and benefits all of us. We try to get a credit up there for all of you that submit something that we use, but if we forget, please do forgive us.

That reminds me, Violent BoB sent in a scoop on some Supes casting rumors (including the..shudder… Tim Allen possibility). Courtney Cox may now be in the running for Lois. Not bad, we suppose. OurSupes coverage (aside from the Project Pocketwatch) may be going away just because we don’t really feel that it’s News Askew anymore. Plus, the flick is turning into a casting disaster. We hope the movie’s good, but the reality is, Kev just isn’t really involved anymore.

Sorry for the lack of updates this weekend, but nothing much has been happening in the Askewniverse to report on. Plus it was the holiday and we took a break to play the Chasing Amy Drinking Game. Anyone else played yet? Let us know. The drinking started out strong but lags a bit towards the end in the dramatic sections. But you’ll still do 6-7 beverages over the course of the film. Not bad.

• We’re pleased to announce that VulgarThon tickets are STILL on sale direct (and ONLY) from View Askew. Kevin managed to DOUBLE the capacity of the fest due to HIGH demand (the first 270 tix sold out in 2 hours!) by adding the second theatre at the Sony. There are now approximately 450 seats available total, all of which should be sold out by noon tomorrow, if not sooner. Starting at 10 AM, eastern time, until they’re gone, you can call the Stash Hotline (1-732-758-0020) to stake your claim. Have your credit card handy, and good luck!

We finally managed to get through a little after 2:00 today, so, if it weren’t for the second theatre beingadded, we wouldn’t even have made it! Look forward to seeing all of you there.
