  • This week’s edition of “Renaissance Man” over at Movie Poop Shoot spotlights Kevin’s recent Q&A appearance at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities. It’s quite an extensive report with a ton of great new photos, including a nice summary of some of the interesting things said. Here’s one of those points (an elaboration from an earlier report):
The first animation test for CLERKS: THE ANIMATED MOVIE was sent out last week. Kevin revealed that the tests were being done to see if the entire movie could be done in Flash Animation, which would save a great deal of time and money. While the footage will likely never be seen, Kevin said that for the test, he had to choose between Jay and Silent Bob in the Death Star trench shooting down a tie fighter piloted by Ben Affleck, and a scene where Jay gets busy with “a thousand women.”

Man, we gotta see those animation tests! Anyway, read the whole thing and see all the pics HERE! Interestingly enough, it seems that Kevin is making an effort to not tell stories that you can see on the “Evening With Kevin Smith” DVD. So, if you’ve seen those live, consider yourselves fortunate! Can’t help but wonder if that Prince story will one day be Kevin’s “Freebird”…
