- Kevin’s always good enough to drop by the board from time to time and drop some hints about what’s been transpiring these days. He also
ends up answering pretty much every question that fans manage to throw at him. Here’s a summary of some of the more pertinent stuff to come up during
the most recent run:
- On Jersey Girl’s Maya: ” Interestingly enough, I was writing the role of Maya with Eliza in mind, initially. We went with Liv, though, as Eliza would’ve looked more like Ben’s daughter than girlfriend (she’s pretty tiny).”
- On Dogma’s Bethany: “Alanis was offered the role before Linda. She passed because she didn’t feel she was ready to take on a role that large at that point in her career.”
- On Clerks 2 and the possibility for fans as extras: “It’s a pretty small cast – roughly eighteen speaking parts. There will certainly be some background folks, but not a need for as many as we’ve used in the past three flicks.”
- On playing himself in Degrassi this Fall: “For a week in October and two weeks in November. Just acting. I’m playing me. I believe the season ends
with my three episode arc. As much as I can’t wait to shoot “Degrassi”, “Clerks 2” is even closer to home, y’know? Here’s a little tidbit about “Degrassi”,
though: in the show, I’m up in Canada shooting a movie called “Jay and Silent Bob Go Canadian, Eh?” The plot of the movie within the show is so funny, it almost
makes me want to shoot the flick for real.”
- On Vulgarthon 2: “It’ll likely be in early January – before we head off to shoot Clerks 2.”
- On the next East Coast event: “Not sure yet. Maybe November?”
- On the next film’s title: “It’s either gonna be “The Passion of the Clerks” or Clerks 2.”
- On the film he’d love to make but would never get an opportunity to: “A sequel to Dogma.”
- Kevin expects to have the Green Hornet script finished up next week.

- This one’s a bit dated, but you can now watch a clip of Kevin’s introduction at his now legendary UK Q&A session, online at this
site. Enjoy it while it lasts (we imagine you folks might kill the bandwidth over there, so
watch if before it’s too late!). The clip is in Windows Media format.
- Dogma gets a quick mention in an ESPN column that ran today.
- The writer of Action Datsun over at Moviepoopshoot has tossed an obligatory View Askew reference into their other comic, Combustible
Orange, which has featured previous cameos. The twist is that the reference is deliberately half-wrong to accentuate the
funny. Action Datsun will be returning at the’Shoot next week, ending their extended hiatus in the mountains of New Zealand.
