  • It’s certainly been one of the most talked about missing scenes in View Askew history (and, of course, was never actually FILMED), so
now it’s become one of the most highly anticipated extras on the Clerks anniversary DVD, coming later this year. Yes, it’s that famous funeral sequence,
which you’ll be able to integrate into the film, or watch on its own, courtesy of the geniuses over at Powerhouse Animation. Here’s Kevin presenting our
first look at some stills from that very scene:
So, as most of you probably already know, we took the “Lost Scene” from the “Clerks” script (what happened when Dante and Randal went into the funeral parlor for Julie Dwyer’s funeral) and had the talented folks at Powerhouse Animation (”Heroes”, “Ben Saves Jen” video game) bring it to life, complete with the voice talents of Brian O’Halloran, Jeff Anderson, and Joey Lauren Adams.

What you don’t know is that it’s completed, and man, does it look/play great! Top job from all involved.

And while you’ve gotta wait ’til Sept. 14th to check it out, here’s a little taste: some cells, courtesy of Brad at Powerhouse Animation.

The other big news Kevin’s seemed to drop? The SUPER HUGE 3 DISC Clerks anniversary DVD set is showing up on shelves on SEPTEMBER 14, 2004? The same
day as the Jersey Girl DVD? Wow, would that ever be a monumental day. It’s been quite a while since a new View Askew DVD has hit shelves, so we’re
anxious to get our hands on these projects, and hope to have some HUGE early looks at more content for you, right here at News Askew. Stay tuned.
