- Lots of rumblings are going around regarding the proposed August 10, 2001 release date going around regarding “American Pie 2″. As many of you know, and Kevin himself has joked, the flick shares a LOT of actors with “Jay & Silent Bob Strike Backâ€, and presently shares a proposed release date. Not only that, but with both the flicks being R-rated comedies after the same demographic, we’re almost positive that someone is going to move dates. With Jay & Bob already underway, and AP2 still just in a scripting stage, we don’t think the August 10th date is in jeopardy, at least as far as AP2 is concerned. Dimension wants Jay & Bob out on that date, and we’ve got a feeling it’s going to make it. Of course, we’re not always right, either. We’ll let you know if anything changes.
