  • Miramax Pictures has taken over distribution on Matt Damon‘s upcoming “All The Pretty Horses” from Columbia. The terms of the deal call for Miramax to whittle down the “Horses” print to 2 hours and 15 minutes. (Insiders say it’s currently at 2 hours and 30 minutes, and will hit the contractually agreed upon run time.)
  • Last Night’s Conan O’Brien show featured Chris Rock plugging his next effort (Neil LaBute’s “Nurse Betty”, a flick we are really looking forward to checking out) and also had Tom Clancy speaking about Ben Affleck‘s proposed taking over of the Jack Ryan role. He said, “He’s a good kid…he can read and write”. Ummm…Okay, Tom.
  • Interesting sidenote to end the day: David Spade‘s NBC animated series “Sammy” just had the plug pulled on it after 2 episodes. Sound familiar?
