- According to his Wikipedia Page, the great Jeff Anderson is working on another movie as a writer/director. The page reports:
“As of 2008, he is working on Marry Me To Death, which follows a suicidal man hiring a destitute woman to marry and then murder him to leave her with the insurance money.”That’s all we know so far, though we’re fans of his first effort, “Now You Know”, so we’ll certainly keep an eye on this project and let you know here at News Askew as we hear more.
- The IMDB reports that the documentary of “Zack and Miri Make a Porno” has changed its title to “Popcorn Porn”. Originally, the doc was slated for the film’s DVD release (rumored for this February), though at press time, we have not yet confirmed any extras that may or may not be available when the flick hits home shelves. We’ll keep ya posted.
- SModcast listeners (and why wouldn’t you be?) will be amused to see that the recently coined Smith-Mosier term “booberty” has already hit the Urban Dictionary:

- Sports Illustrated recalls a great flub we mentioned this past year from broadcast football, even tossing a “Clerks II” mention in their headline for good measure. Look to the lower right corner of the scan.
- MSNBC film critic Alonso Duralde name checks “Zack And Miri Make a Porno” as one of the year’s highlights in this year in review wrap-up.
