- Here’s a small blurb from an article from the Summer 1997 edition of Filmmaker magazine (the quote is from Michelle Byrd of IFP, an organization dedicated to independent filmmakers):
“Look at someone like Kevin Smith. He’s not wholly outside the mainstream. But he’s been extremely supportive of the organization.
