- Word has it that Ben Affleck made page 2 of this week’s National Enquirer! It’s not one of the rags we frequent (for obvious reasons), but if you’ve got a scan of the article, we’d love to see it or post it. We don’t know the details of the article yet, but we’re sure it’s gotta at least be “interesting”. Also, the VA offices would like a copy as well, if you’d like to do your good deed for the day and send one in.
- “In Hollywood agency news, actress Joey Lauren Adams, who had her first feature lead in Kevin Smith’s “Chasing Amy”, has signed with ICM.” -Variety Magazine. ICM is one of the larger agencies out in movieland. We wish her well.
- The March 1998 issue of Maxim magazine lists (Alyssa Milano’s on the cover) lists “Clerks” as the 91st Greatest Guy Movie of All Time (page 75). They don’t have a website, nor do we have the complete text, so we can’t share number 1 with you at this time. We’re sure it’s something good though, hopefully “Die Hard” or “The Last Boy Scout”.
- We forgot to mention this yesterday (and in case you missed the talk about it), but apparently on this past weekend’s Saturday Night Live, newsguy Colin Quinn went off on a rant about how much he dislikes Matt Damon. If someone has a transcript, send it our way and we’ll post it up for you all to see, since we missed it as well. SNL just normally sucks too bad to watch anymore. Except for that episode last season when the real DeNiro and Pesci appeared, and Norm let the big one slip on the news update…That was a classic.
- Here’s a newsbite from a strange source: A scooper’s pager. It read: PEOPLE MAGAZINE says best friends Matt Damon and Ben Affleck, who co-starred in “Good Will Hunting” may be double dating too; people says Affleck’s new flame Gwyneth Paltrow recently introduced Damon to her best friend Winona Ryder.
