February 15th @ 12:00 am | No Comments » | Scooped by Joe Nozemack, Matt Ebert, Drew Hinton, DC Comics' popular Green Arrow. "It's always been a dream," says Smith, whose upcoming comedy Dogma starts shooting in March. "And at least now I'm working in a medium where I know Tim Burton isn't going to come in and go, 'Let'sshitcan this thing and move on.'"Our Oni Press page will be seeing some nice updates this week, we hope. Be sure to check it out later this week!
- Mike McCarthy’s recent interview with Kevin Smith is going to be the cover story of Lollipop magazine’s new March 1998 issue. Look for it at better bookstores everywhere.
- A few of you have written to us concerning Elliot Smith, the guy who did the songs for “Good Will Hunting”. He’s been getting a lot of press since his Oscar nod for the film’s score, andhis work is pretty darn good. There’s a 22 minute show with him over at www.liveconcerts.com,where he chats and plays some live stuff. If you like him or the flick’s music, stop by andhave a listen!
- Lots of you have been wise to point out to us that the LoveLine radio program isn’t ON onFriday nights, so obviously Kevin couldn’t be making an appearance that day. Perhaps it wasjust misheard information, or totally bunk, but we still think Kev (and Jay!) would have madegreat guests on the show.
- Drew’s got a new webpage up he’d like you to take a look at: It’s a View Askew page withtons of samples and pics from the Jersey Trilogy. You can check it out here.
- Kevin will be doing an interview in Wizard #80, which hits stores in March. Be sure topick up a copy. Of course, News Askew will have the story for you here, as well.
