• We all know Wizard is giving mad props to Oni’s books…Now, Diamond Dateline is also reporting successful Oni sales. Jay & Silent Bob #1 was 70th on the list of top-selling comics for the month of June, and Oni Press was 17th on the list of top-selling publishers. You can read this list for yourself HERE.

Finally, our scooper says, “I know a lot of stores who didn’t know who or what Clerks or J&SB were, and thusly hardly ordered those books. At my own store, most of us who work there are big Kev fans and we ordered immensely on Oni DF and Clerks #1. Both books did extremely well, selling over 100 copies each, better than ANY other book this year. We ordered heavy on J&SB also, ordering 110 copies, and in only 5 days from wednesday to sunday we had sold 60 copies.”. There ya have it, a first hand look at just how well the stuff is moving off the shelves!

GWH was hitting video shelves for rental today! Please don’t ask, you can’t BUY it yet, but be sure to drop by your local rental shop and give it another watch, or, if you missed it, DEFINITELY pick it up. It plays just as well at home as it did on the big screen. Thanks to Fat Mike for the polite reminder.

• Yes, the Dogma articles continue…Looks as if folks are just taking the initial rumor article from Mr. Showbiz and just expanding on it…Kinda like that old game where you whispered a story down the line and it totally changed by the end…Anyway, we’ll keep up with the news over on Dogma: RC from now on.

• Ben‘s busy filming his next flick, “Forces of Nature”, with Sandra Bullock (Chris is quite jealous)…Here’s a bite from a story that ran on the flick today:

• Our beloved Dark Horizons has posted some interesting casting news regarding a possible upcoming role for Ben. Check it out, it sounds like a good one!

Sounds like a winner to us…We’ll at least follow up if Ben decides he wants the role, but expect much LESS coverage than Armageddon if it actually comes to fruition. We’re tired.

• Don’t go getting all worried now…There’s concern that Dogma‘s gonna get stomped due to controversial religious issues…Trust us, this is all just getting blown out of proportion because of a silly quote or two. But anyway, another article on the subject of Dogma and Disney‘s stance ran today, so we figured you’d wanna see it:

Just more religious fanatics looking for something to crow about…Don’t get us wrong, we’re both church going folk, one of us Catholic even, and we can’t WAIT to see the movie. Plus, remember that the flick hasn’t even finished EDITING yet, so all this fuss is just unfounded and pure speculation. The movie’s gonna make it folks…And it’ll be HUGE…Don’t you worry!

• Well, we warned you folks not to surf over to the Hollywood Stock Exchange game, but you didn’t listen, DID YOU?!?! Now you’re addicted. Oh well. We’re considering possibly getting updates on how View Askew related stock is doing, at least from time to time, plus, Kevin was JUST added as a commodity. Check this out:

• Hope all of you had a nice weekend…Things are finally (thankfully) slowing down since Armageddon‘s release, so we figured that we’d take the time to get caught up on some stories that we missed. Expect more Askew & Dogma focused news now that the big asteroid flick’s out in theatres…We doubt we’ll give as much coverage to other non-Askew flicks in the future, juding by how out of hand that one seemed to get. Anyway, let’s get caught up on some stuff. Expect an official announcement tomorrow regarding the Good Will Hunting raffle…
