Stash Location Clarification…

January 13th @ 12:00 am | No Comments » | Scooped by Vincent & Marksman

  • Quite a few of you were interested in yesterday’s story that we ran on the new location of the Stash. A while back, we’d heard that plans were to locate the Offices and the Stash under one roof — This is certainly not the case any longer. Vincent wrote us to clarify:
1. The View Askew offices moved to 3 Harding Road- if you’ve ever seen this building it’s hardly suited for a comic book store, so I don’t think this was ever considered. In fact, I know it was not because the new location of the Stash was found BEFORE Kevin found the 3 Harding Location that he moved the offices to.

2. “The new location was not disclosed”- funny that, since there are signs up all over the front of the new location heralding the upcoming opening of Jay & Silent Bob’s Secret Stash, and telling folks to check out the Stash at 69 Monmouth in the meantime. The new Stash is locatedrigh on the heart of Broad Street (not too far up from where the oldoffices are). I can’t recall the exact address right now, but it’s no secret – anybody who walks down Broad Street in Red Bank will walk right past it and see all the signs.

We hope that this clears everything up, and apologize for the confusion. By the way, the NEW Stash address is 35 Broad Street, across from Jack’s Music Shop. This is about a block and a half (and a 60 second walk) from the original location.

Mallrats Screening…

  • Usually you see Clerks or Amy being shown in special screenings…So this one’s kinda cool. Mallrats will be screened at the University of Arizona’s Gallagher Theatre at midnight on Feb. 25-26. If you’re in the area, check it out, since a LOT of you fans apparently missed it on it’s maiden run! The online schedule for the theater can be found HERE.

BHD & Dogma Bootleg Rumors…

January 13th @ 12:00 am | No Comments » | Scooped by Jaded

  • Rumor’s been going around that there’s bootleg copies of both Big Helium Dog and, yes, even Dogma floating around out there. First of all, NOPE, we don’t have any copies of these. SECOND, while there IS a chance that there’s a few BHD bootlegs rolling around out there (since preview copies were sent around and often do get copied), it’s HIGHLY unlikely that this has happened with Dogma, since it’s been in protected hands all along from what we’ve heard. Special precautions were also, of course, taken place during the Philly screening last month. So, in a nutshell, don’t get your hopes up on seeing either of these on the street corner anytime soon — And even if you did, you’d have more fun watching them on the big screen, anyway!
