LOS ANGELES (AP) – Actress Shannon Elizabeth, who appeared in the comedies “American Pie†and “Scary Movie,†will be honored as the Female Star of Tomorrow at the ShoWest 2001 convention.
Elizabeth will receive the honor at the annual Gala Awards banquet March 8 in Las Vegas, said Robert Sunshine, chairman of Sunshine Group Worldwide, which runs the entertainment trade convention.
“She debuted to terrific success and continues to raise the bar with each new role,†Sunshine said this week.
The 24-year-old Texan will next appear in the comedy “Tomcats,†about a group of men who make a bet about who will be the last to marry.â€
