- That Access Hollywood clip that Kevin mentioned a while back is finally showing up on the program this weekend as part of their Summer Movie Preview, about 15 minutes or so into the show. The significance of the clip is that it features the first shots of the Bluntcave, as it looked exactly when we visited the set a few months back (we must have just missed these guys!). Jen, Ali, and Eliza are also featured in a quick shot, along with some words from Kevin. Want to see the clip? You’re in luck! 5 Minutes With Kev @ WizardWorld…
- That WizardWorld piece was posted on Friday as scheduled, and it’s quite good. There’s a few new bits revealed that you may not have been aware of, as well as some clues to some other stuff. In addition to the stuff about the flick, there’s info on Green Arrow, Bluntman & Chronic, and lots more from the comic realm. Here’s a preview:
Looking back, what’s the coolest scene in the movie for you?
Smith: Ummm… for me, it’s really just some really quiet, very subtle stuff. Just some nuances to Jason Mewes’ performance really make me laugh, just knowing the guy and knowing how far he’s come since we started making movies together.
The big moment for the audience is going to be Mark Hamill’s moment. Without going into too much detail, it’s Mark Hamill doing what Mark Hamill does best.
Trying to find his car like he did in “Corvette Summer”?
Smith: Exactly! You get to watch him in the ‘Vette.
Also, watching Ben Affleck and Matt Damon in very familiar roles is fun. There’s a quartet of girls in the movie who are international jewel thieves who we get to see in action in a very elaborate diamond heist scene. It sounds very hokey, but it works in the movie. It looks great.

- Will Ferrell is supposedly booked for the Conan O’Brien show on the 18th of this month. Perhaps a J&SBSB mention will happen?
- Recently on MTV during the Destiny’s Child special, Kevin and Will Ferrell appeared for a pretty funny confessional. Will sang an…..interesting, rendition of Destinys Child’s “Survivor” while Kev was laughing. Then Kevin looked to the camera and professed his love for Destiny’s Child and their music. Then Will informed the rest of America that “Orange is back in” as he pointed to his orange shirt. Some pretty funny stuff, even if it were for a few minutes of joy.
- There’s an article in this months DIAMOND DIALOGUE (a retailer supplement magazine previewing books, cards & the like to be sold through Previews within the next few months with background articles on them) about the new issue of High Times featuring Kevin. Here’s the transcript:
