- A new year always seems to be a good time for studios to break ground with announcements on new film projects. This first one is a Jason
Lee film that we reported just a small blurb on last summer.
“I Love Your Work†starring Jason Lee and directed by Adam Goldberg. Goldberg is most notable for his roles in Dazed and Confused and Mellish in
Spielberg’s Saving Private Ryan, among others. Also includes talented folk like Giovani Ribisi, Vince Vaughn, Franke Potente (The Bourne Supremacy, Run
Lola Run), Christina Ricci, Joshua Jackson, Judy Green (who co-starred in “The Hebrew Hammer†with Goldberg), and Nicky Katt.
Hollywood Stock Exchange says:
breakdown and becomes obsessed with a young film student. Giovanni Ribisi, Joshua Jackson, Franka Potente, and Christina Ricci star in the indie film
co-produced by Cyan Pictures and Muse Productions.â€
Also, from the success of the end result of “The Polar Expressâ€, it seems Robert Zemeckis may be doing a second screen capture film. Jason Lee is
attached as voice talent, as well as a few other notables:
Jenny find that the house is alive and in it beats an evil heart. None of the adults believe the kids, so it’s up to the three of them to figure out a way
to destroy the dwelling before innocent trick-or-treaters are devoured. Gil Zenan makes his directorial debut.
Sounds intrguing. And finally, an interesting team-up that makes that little Jersey Girl cameo look like it might have turned into a true-to-life business meeting:
Ben Affleck and Will Smith will buddy up in the action-comedy “Affirmative Action†set in New Orleans. When a black soldier goes A.W.O.L. after committing
a crime, a South Boston cop and a FBI agent who don’t share the same racial views are teamed to find him. Affirmative Action was written by Jeffrey Abrams
and is currently in development at Jerry Bruckheimer Films. Buena Vista will distribute the picture.
We’ll of course keep you informed on these projects as we hear more.
