  • Well, here we are at the start of summer and the eve of the big Survivor finale. It’s nice to see the show’s finally coming to an end, it’s been dragging the past couple of weeks, but still, it’s proven pretty much impossible not to tune in to see who takes home the cash this year. Frankly, there’s been a lot of must-see type TV going on this year, thank goodness 90% of it is ending this month, with Sopranos, X-Files, The Simpsons, Buffy, Angel, Boston Public, Friends, and most of the reality shows all finishing their schedules. Damn you, television and your addictive ways!

So how about that release date change, huh? It’ll be interesting to see how the flick fares now that it’s moved. The delay is smart in the way that it gives a couple more weeks for finishing touches, and definitely comes out against lighter guns, however, bumping the flick up by a couple weeks may have also given it a pretty good box office take, as mid to late July might also have been a dead spot to jump in at. Either way, with the marketing campaign that Dimension has planned, and the amount of cameos and exposure the flick ALREADY has going for it, expect this to be the biggest View Askew production to date, both budget wise and box-office wise.

By the way, don’t forget to keep checking out Scooping The Monkey, our site dedicated to Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back news. The banner at the top of the news will take ya there. Our latest additions are some videos to the Download section, including that George Carlin clip from Comedy Central and Carrie Fisher discussing her role. Look for LOTS more video as the release draws closer, though with the press we’re anticipating it’s gonna be tough to cover it ALL. Expect Scooping along with this site to still be your #1 internet resources for breaking news and information regarding the new flick and everything else that’s been going on.
