- Word has it that the big BC (that’s Buddy Christ) will appear in bobblehead form in the upcoming TLC documentary/reality series “The Monasteryâ€, about five ordinary men living in a Benedictine monastery for forty days. One of the participants brings the figure with him to keep in his room. He points it out to the camera in the first episode and mentions it by name, and it often appears with him in his “video diary†moments where he talks to the camera. Watch for it on TLC.
- Check out a new interview with Jason Lee over at the Onion’s AV Club. The interview is very Earl-centric, but we still think you might dig it. Here’s a snippet:
AVC: Is it true that the network didn’t want you to have a moustache initially?
JL: Yeah, and I said we had to. It just doesn’t work for Earl to be clean-cut. It’s just going to become a thing that people are going to talk about. And it’s going to make me look funnier, add to the look of the character. And then they saw me, and they said okay, finally. We didn’t back down, and I’m glad we didn’t.
- Salma Hayek produces and co-stars in the hit ABC sitcom “Ugly Bettyâ€, now airing as part of their new fall season. The show’s getting high ratings and quite a bit of critical praise. Thursdays on ABC.
