• A very late update we realize…Had some company this weekend so it was tough to get to the PC but luckily it was a fairly slow weekend (compared to what it’s BEEN anyway), so this newbites-only update will actually catch everything up.

Just a note: We realize that the blurb going around has the Chasing Amy DVD listed as a Miramax disc and NOT a Criterion one, so we’re as confused as you. Last we’d heard, Criterion would release the disc with everything from their laser along with a new 16:9 enhanced transfer. We’re not SURE though, and will hopefully get some inside info to clear that up soon. Sorry for any confusion.

We were sadded to hear of the passing of Charles Schulz, the creator of Peanuts, who died yesterday, on the eve of the final Sunday strip’s publication. We’re not sure how it was around the world, but here in the States it’s hard to find a child or grown-up that hasn’t been touched by the guy’s work. He will be missed.
