- Cast Askew is a new experiment, the first web-based Askew “podcast†which is a MP3-based radio program of sorts, summarizing the recent events in Askew news in audio format. Your hosts are Rob and Rachel, a happily-married pair of View Askew fans. So far, 2 episodes are available, and can be found, naturally, at http://www.castaskew.com. Rob also tells us that in the next couple of days, the podcast will be available for subscription through iTunes, which should notify you when a new episode is out, automatically. Check it out.
- Comic Book Resources reports that a NEW comic to bridge Clerks and Clerks 2, much like “Chasing Dogma†did for the Amy/Dogma connection. Jim Mahfood, who worked on the original Clerks book, is set to draw. Here’s the report on how you’ll be able to get a copy:
According to Kevin Smith on Fanboy Radio, he is planning a new Clerks comic to bridge the gap between “Clerks†and “Clerks 2,†much as “Chasing Dogma†did between “Chasing Amy†and “Dogma†(only for much of it to be reprised in “Jay And Silent Bob Strikes Backâ€). And Jim Mahfood is slated to draw “Clerks 1.5″– an appointment made in the very show itself.
The new story will, however, only appear in a new version of the “Clerks†TPB, from Graphitti. Still, not like Kevin Smith fans are unaccustomed to buying an item a second or third time for new content.
