• Kevin’s Q&A appearance at Southwest Missouri State University has been moved from April 10th to Sunday, April 27th at 8:00 PM. Here’s the official word from their website:

• Yes, what we still claim are one of, if not THE coolest pieces of View Askew merchandise, have ARRIVED! The proof’s right there in Amy’s hands. Ming says:

• This is sort of intriguing…We haven’t heard any official word of Spidey/Black Cat being on hold, but a new six-issue series called “Trouble”, coming soon, features artwork from Terry & Rachel Dodson, whom as you know were working on the Spidey book with Kev. We’ll let you know what we find out.
• CountingDown.com has a 4-minute interview with Jason Lee promoting his new movie, “Dreamcatcher.” Lee also makes some comments about “Fletch Won” during the piece. The film took in around 15 and a half million this week. Reviews have been pretty harsh on the film, but we found it to be fun in a silly sorta way.
• TV Guide Online’s got a new trivia game about prime time cartoons that asks this as its final question: Who was the evil villain in the cartoon version of Clerks? Take the quiz HERE.
• This IGN FilmForce article discusses the possibility of Chris Rock and Will Ferrell co-starring in a movie…but oddly enough, it doesn’t mention that they’ve ALREADY appeared together in J&SBSB.
• We’re not sure we even understand this one, but “Clerks” was mentioned in the UK Gamecube magazine NGC. It’s in a list of “Non-lethal weapons for the GC version of ‘Hitman 2′”, which is a joke list. It is described in the list (#8) as “A riotous low-budget comedy in which undermotivated convenience store workers play hockey and talk about Star Wars.” Okay.
• This one might be a bit old, but this site suggested alternate casting for “The Lord of the Rings”, and put Mewes in the role of Legolas, complete with a photo. Even Kevin’s suggested for Gimli. Obviously some fans there.
• Yet another web comic nod for Jay & Silent Bob, this time in one called “Combustible Orange”. Check it out HERE.
• And finally today, the Clerks animated series gets another nod, but only one that fans of the show will pick up on — Check out the final frame of “Lethal Does” for the funny.

• Comic Book Resources brings us this very cool info on a new Green Arrow hardcover, covering the rest of Kevin’s run, coming this June from DC:

• The March 28, 2003 showing of Jeff Anderson’s “Now You Know” in Chicago has been switched to April 25, 2003.
• Rumor has it that Jay Mewes has been spotted at some local bars in downtown Providence, Rhode Island on the weekends. Likely due to that gig we reported regarding him playing with that band in the area there.
• Empire Australia rated best girl-on-girl action (for FIGHTING, you perverts) and Jay And Silent Bob Strike Back’s between Shannon and Eliza took 2nd place. Check out their site HERE.
• And finally today, it’s not a direct Askew newsbite, but you might have heard that George Lucas recently said he’s not gonna put the original Star Wars trilogy out on DVD in its unedited form…EVER. Well as fans, of course, everyone wants to see the original vision intact, so be sure to join the many thousands who have already signed the petition at originaltrilogy.com to let Lucasfilm know how much the fans want those DVDs! • Howdy folks! We’ve reached what we like to call a “lull” of sorts around here. After a surprisingly busy past couple of weeks, it was only a matter of time that the news dried up on us for a little while. We don’t expect this one to last long, but rest assured we’re still here and keeping an eye on things, there just hasn’t been a heckuva lot to chat with you fine folks about lately. That’s cool, though, we took the time and did some housecleaning on the site during the downtime.

Had the chance to check out a sneak preview of Lee in “Dreamcatcher” — The flick is surprisingly good, definitely feels like a King book, and does get a bit rushed at times (the ending especially) but should be a lot of fun to see with a full crowd in the cinema this coming weekend. Recommended.

• That Daredevil 2 rumor regarding Kevin’s involvement still seems to be making the rounds, this time coming up over at Comics Continuum:

• There’s no doubt about it…Puppets are ALWAYS fun and entertaining. This online movie, done with puppets and called “Chasing Arm-y”, is a Kevin Smith inspired dialogue between 2 puppets. Don’t look for any specific references, though, the creator just saw “The Flying Car” and was inspired to write a dialogue style similar to that. But ya gotta love those puppets.
• WZPL radio in Indianapolis will have an interview with Jason Lee on Monday afternoon, 3/17. Kelly McKay, their afternoon drive DJis scheduled to interview the man who is Brodie (and plays Beaver in “Dreamcatcher) at 3:15 PM Indiana time. WZPL is one of the few remaining radio stations that still stream on the ‘net, so you can all listen in at www.wzpl.com.

• In the Onion’s interview with Gus Van Sant from last week’s issue, he mentions Clerks:
