These beautiful posters, designed by Todd Slater, was created in very limited numbers for the Rolling Roadshow outdoor screening of ‘Clerks’ held in Red Bank, NJ on August 8, 2006. Previously sold out for months, a limited run was made exclusively for Jay & Silent Bob’s Secret Stash and is now available to you. EXTREMELY LIMITED.

A STEAL AT $25!

• One vigilant scooper from the North travelled down to a New York Best Buy last night and happened upon one of those limited edition Mooby Meal boxes, out EARLY! So thanks to him, we have some new high res shots of the contents of this beauty. We’ll be at our local Best Buy to pick these suckers up tomorrow, you can bet on that.

Of Canadian interest: Not as impressive as the Best Buy USA exclusive, Canadians get a free original ‘98 Clerks Comic book with the purchase of Clerks II on DVD. None of the other stores seem to have any deals of any sort.

• Kevin dropped a few hints as to the exciting Clerks II line of inaction figures, which we’ve been waiting to hear hints of since it was advertised on the back of the awesome Chasing Amy inaction set (these things really do just get cooler and cooler with each set). No release date has yet been decided, but it certainly seems like a couple of the designs HAVE.

First up, before the entire set shows up, Kevin’s announced a STASH EXCLUSIVE Kevin, seen in the photo here. This will be available mid-December, just in time for Christmas!

Kevin also informs us that the Randal figure will have the shirt that was seen in the flick (yes, you know what it says). Jay’s figure will be, well, the “tuck”.

Other theories: Will Elias get a much-deserved inaction figure? Will he have on his Mooby’s horn hat? Hope so. What will Dante look like? Becky in the tank top? Emma with her cake (or wedding invitation) perhaps? Silent Bob in pig tails? A special edition “sexy stud” figure perhaps? With the announcements, it’s already bound to be the most controversial set of inactions that View Askew has ever done. The possibilities are really endless. We’ll keep you posted (and maybe even speculate a bit more).

• One of the most oft-asked questions we see here at News Askew is “When will the next wave of inaction figures come ’round?” These things just look so cool on the shelf, and with each passing set, the world just expands and becomes more colorful and detailed. So we can’t blame you for asking. We’re now pleased to announce that we do have an official date for the next wave, Chasing Amy: June 2006. This wave will include Banky Edwards, Holden McNeil, Alyssa Jones, Hooper X and the Tracer Guy. A possible (and first in this series) playset may also be included in this set. No details or official photos of that playset, though rumor has been that it would be the Marina Diner where Jay & Bob meet Holden in the film. We’re going to see what dirt we can dig up on that one for you. In the meantime, clear some room on those shelves, and we’ll let you know when the set’s ready for your preorders.
