Actress Shannen Doherty, who used to play a scheming woman on “Beverly Hills, 90210”, was placed on probation Friday for smashing a bottle against a man’s car. Doherty’s lawyer entered a no-contest plea on one misdemeanor count of vandalism in Beverly Hills Municipal Court. She was not required to be in court. Under California law, ano-contest plea is the equivalent of a guilty plea. In addition to a period of probation, Judge Elden Fox ordered Doherty to undergo anger management counseling and pay either a $2,000 fine or perform 80 hours of community service.
