  • NC posted this about Kevin being mention on MTV’s new indie movie show called “ALT.MOVIES@MTV”. We missed the show, so we can’t give you any more details. Here’s the message:
Anyone catch this MTV presents alt.movies@MTV ?? It was about the Indie film maker… and Kevin and Clerks got a small mention… But Neglected to mention this year’s best indie feature, Chasing Amy. They concentrated more on last years’ Indie pics and upcoming indies.

  • We’ve been working on some enhancements to the page, and you’ll see the bulk of them online today. Most of them will benefit Internet Explorer users, but we’ve done our best to make the page fully compatible for Netscape users as well. Please try and run the latest versions of both browsers to keep the page looking and working best.

If you have any weirdness or especially display problems, please let us know immediately so we can correct the problem!

Finally, we suggest all Windows users download and add the ADELAINE font. We’ve placed a local copy of this font HERE. You’ll see the page as it was meant to be seen with this installed.

As always, thanks for your support.

  • For those of you wondering why you can no longer find the Supes script online at the spot we mentioned earlier, check out this mail that Jason Charnick received from our friends at Warner Brothers. Don’t say we didn’t warn ya to grab it right away! Jason says:
Just received this kind little e-mail from Mr. Wilson, Esq. I wonder where they got my home address from, as I haven’t lived there in over a year! Duh! Keep Superman alive, kiddies…

Re: UNAUTHORIZED USE OF TIME WARNER ENTERTAINMENT COMPANY, L.P. AND DC COMICS PROPERTIES
Dear Mr. Charnick:
This letter is being written to you on behalf of Warner Bros. , a division of Time Warner Entertainment Company, L.P. (”Warner”) and DC Comics ( DC ).
Warner and DC are the exclusive owners of all copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property rights in and to the Superman properties, including, but not limited to to the “Superman Lives” motion picture and script (hereinafter the “DC Properties”). Warner and DC take their responsibility for the protection of the DC Properties very seriously.

Should you not immediately do so, Warner and DC expressly reserve all of their rights to file a lawsuit against you to obtain both money damages for all past acts of infringement and an injunction to prevent any future infringement.
If we do not receive your written confirmation before the close of business on September 17, 1997, that you have complied with these demands, we will advise Warner and DC to take such action against you as they may deem appropriate.
This letter is not a complete statement of Warner’s an DC’s rights in connection with this matter, and nothing contained herein constitutes an express or implied waiver of any rights, remedies, or defenses of Warner and DC in connection with these matters, all of which are expressly reserved.
Very truly yours,

Jay & Bob Windows Logos!

September 17th @ 12:00 am | No Comments » | Scooped by Brad & Chris

  • The quest of entirely assimilating Windows 95 into a View Askew machine continues! Here’s a new file from Davebo. It can be used as a replacement for your startup screen in Win95 (The one with the clouds, the logo, and the animated color bar at the bottom)? Well, this replaces that pic with the always entertaining Jay & Silent Bob, who Davebo says “Are far more entertaining to watch than anything Bill Gates ever created.”

Kev In Spin (The Sequel)…

  • A day or two ago we mentioned that there’s a very small Kevin Smith blurb in Spin Magazine. Turns out it’s just a frame from a comic strip. Here’s the infamous comic panel from SPIN’s trip to Comic-Con 97. Thanks to Neil for the heads up! Sorry if it’s a little blurry, but we wanted to keep the size down due to our quickly diminishing drive space.
