Kevin’s Coming To Rutgers!

September 19th @ 12:00 am | No Comments » | Scooped by Brad & Chris

For those of you in the area, Kevin will be appearing this Wednesday, September 24th, 8:00 PM, at the Rutgers University CAMDEN CAMPUS. The entire appearance will be FREE, and will include a lecture from the man himself as well as a screening of Chasing Amy, so, if you’re close enough to make it and you’re not going, shame on you! You can find out all about the appearance right from the college at this site. This should be a really good time. We’re over three hours away, but still tempted to make the drive in just for the evening. Anyone wanna put us up?

Special thanks go out to Jim, HolyToads, and anyone else we may have missed that posted about this on the WWWBoard.

Kev & Jay’s Howard Stern SoundBites

    September 19th @ 12:00 am | No Comments » | Scooped by Brad & Chris

    • An anonymous source informs us that, in addition to what we heard on the air, Kevin and Jayrecord several other soundbites and liners that may pop up at any time in future shows…Thescooper tells us:
Jay recorded about 10 different sound bites with re-written versions of the Jay “Nooich Nooich” chant from Clerks, things for robins news, intros, Crackhead Bob, etc…

If you’re a regular Stern listener, you understand what we’re talking about. Sounds like pretty funny stuff! We’ll try and let you know if we hear them, and possibly get you some soundbites if & when they air.

    Affleck Bets On ‘Jack’

    September 18th @ 12:00 am | No Comments » | Scooped by Brad & Chris

    • Ben Affleck has signed to write and star in “Balling the Jack,” a comedy about a New York paralegal who escapes his dreary life through gambling. When one high-stakes bet goes awry, his career, girlfriend and life are seriously threatened. The title refers to gambling parlance for laying everything on the betting line. The project, based on Frank Baldwin’s novel, is on the fast track at New Line Cinema.

    Superman Script Lives!

    September 18th @ 12:00 am | No Comments » | Scooped by Brad & Chris

    • We thought it would be a bad idea to post online links to Kevin’s Superman Lives Script, but we’ve had quite a few requests from folks who have it online and just don’t care if it gets shut down, so here’s what we’re going to do. In our “Links Askew” section we have a link that will (hopefully) take you to one of the online versions of the script. Warner Brothers scouts pleasenote, we DO NOT have a copy of this script locally on our page, so don’t hassle us! We also realize that by having this link, we may jeopardize the scripts and make them easier to find, so if they continue to disappear too quickly, this link will disappear from the page to preserve the longevity of the scripts online. Enjoy it.

Silent Jay & Bob On Stern…Our Thoughts

    September 18th @ 12:00 am | No Comments » | Scooped by Brad & Chris

    • No, the news story title isn’t a typo, it’s a statement. Well, we hope you heard Kevin and Jay’s very short interview on Stern today…The show gets crazy and confusing at times, but between having gossip columnist A.J. Benza, 3 ditzy actress hopefuls, and a phone call from Ed McMahon, Kev really didn’t get the chance to say much. Neither did Jay (except for the obligatory “Noich, Noich, Noich” Speech, which one of the actresses tried to imitate in a horrendous-sounding scene), but of course we think he prefers staying fairly silent anyway (Hence our story title). Anyway, Kev DID manage to work in a plug for the Stash through all the mess and get in some good comments, but most were (pardon us) askewed by the other goings-on in the studio. It was cool hearing the guys on the show, though. We just hope next time (perhaps at Dogma’s release?) they can come back for a “real” interview.

    Kev Mentioned on “ALT.MOVIES@MTV”…

    September 17th @ 12:00 am | No Comments » | Scooped by Brad & Chris

    • NC posted this about Kevin being mention on MTV’s new indie movie show called “ALT.MOVIES@MTV”. We missed the show, so we can’t give you any more details. Here’s the message:
Anyone catch this MTV presents alt.movies@MTV ?? It was about the Indie film maker… and Kevin and Clerks got a small mention… But Neglected to mention this year’s best indie feature, Chasing Amy. They concentrated more on last years’ Indie pics and upcoming indies.

    • We’ve been working on some enhancements to the page, and you’ll see the bulk of them online today. Most of them will benefit Internet Explorer users, but we’ve done our best to make the page fully compatible for Netscape users as well. Please try and run the latest versions of both browsers to keep the page looking and working best.

If you have any weirdness or especially display problems, please let us know immediately so we can correct the problem!

Finally, we suggest all Windows users download and add the ADELAINE font. We’ve placed a local copy of this font HERE. You’ll see the page as it was meant to be seen with this installed.

As always, thanks for your support.
