We haven’t watched it yet ourselves, but we hear that a NEW and IMPROVED version of the Trooper Clerks trailer has indeed been released! You can get details and a mirror list over at the Studio Creations website.
NATO News, the official magazine for the National Association for Theater Owners, mentions Dogma while listing upcoming rolesfor Linda Fiorentino:
“Linda Fiorentino, who played Dr. Laurel Weaver opposite the “Men in Black” and Megan in “Kicked in the Head”, has been working steadily ever since, but “The Split” went straight to video and everything else she has “in the can” has yet to find a release date.
Her next will likely be Miramax’s “Dogma,” a fantasy about a young woman chosen by renegade angels to save humanity. Written and directed by Kevin Smith (“Chasing Amy”), the film co-stars Matt Damon, Ben Affleck, Chris Rock, Alan Rickman, Joey Lauren Adams, Salma Hayek, Jason Lee, Bud Cort, Janeane Garofalo, George Carlin, Alanis Morissette, Jason Mewes and Smith.”
Check out a new interview with Brian Lynch, director of Big Helium Dog, conducted by Jaded. He’s set up a page where you can read it all right HERE.
“Chasing Amy” and “Clerks” are ranked 9 and 10, respectively, in indie movies purchases by
Reel.Com customers in the last month.
Finally today, Dave from Echo Station, who provides us with our little Web Board, asked if we could do him a favor and mention the ToysRGus site that needs some support. More details are available HERE. Help if ya can!

As reported recently here, Chasing Amy has now OFFICIALLY been spotted on shelves in Australia AND the UK. It was spotted for $29.95 down under, while in the U.K., most stores seem to have it for £12.99, but HMV also have it shrinked wrapped with the Clerks/Amy two-in-one screenplay for an extra two pounds. Pretty good deal.

The great George Carlin appeared on (*shudder*) Live with Regis & Kathy Lee Monday morning. Although there to promote his upcoming 11th HBO special this Saturday night, he did mention that he’ll be playing a Cardinal of the Catholic church in the upcoming “Dogma” and briefly spoke of the movie. Not much new info, he said it was the story of two fallen angels trying to get back into heaven, and that it starred Ben Affleck, Matt Damon, Chris Rock, Linda Fiorentino, and then apologized for not remembering anyone else. He also praised Kevin Smith for writing such an intelligent script and referred to him as the creator of “Chasing Amy”, “Clerks” and “Mallrats”. Nice of the guy to get a plug in! Watch George’s special, we hear the material is hilarious, as usual (he’s been trying it out in his latest shows in the area).
