Affleck On Viagra, Wins ‘Undressed’ Poll…
- Looks like Affleck‘s making the news again, first talking about his wacky experience with Viagra in excerpts from his upcoming Playboy interview:

The ex-presidential hopeful’s drug of choice, erection pill Viagra, hasfallen into the wrong, um, hands. And those hands belong to Armageddon starBen Affleck. The heartthrob’s recent use of the drug resulted in some veryserious side effects, he reveals in an interview in the December issue ofPlayboy.
“I almost had a heart attack. I had to sit down, and all it did was make mesweat and feel dizzy. And really unnerved,” he tells the magazine. “I feltno sexual side effects whatsoever.”
He calls it “one of [his] biggest disappointments.”
What the heck made him decide to partake in the little blue impotence pill?Plain ol’ peer pressure. “I figured it’s this old-guy drug. If you can’t geta hard-on, you take Viagra,” the 27-year-old actor says. “But then theseguys start telling me, ‘No, no, no, you can take it too, and it’s like youwere 14 and jerking off six times a day.’ ”
Pfizer, the company behind the gazillion-selling drug, does not condone theuse of Viagra just for kicks, by the way, deeming recreational use as”inappropriate.”
“Viagra should be considered for use only after a clinical evaluation thatinvolves physical exam and medical history to confirm a diagnosis oferectile dysfunction and to assess the appropriateness of Viagra therapy,”the company says in a statement.
Affleck, however, might argue the drug is a job requirement. Apparently,star-status is pretty good for his love life. “Kevin Bacon once said,’Anybody can get laid when they’re famous. The champion thing is to get laidwhen you’re not famous. That’s what’s really hard.’ Boy does that turn outto be true,” Matt Damon’s best buddy reveals. “You can be seriouslydisfigured or whatever and women will still be attracted to you.”
In spite of his apparently busy bedroom antics, Affleck has also beenactively developing his film career. His much-hyped religious comedy, Dogma,is due in theaters soon. Four more Ben-laden flicks–Reindeer Games, TheThird Wheel, Boiler Room and Bounce–will debut next year.
In a somewhat related twist, Affleck’s been selected in a poll taken of women online as the movie star that they’d “mostwant to undress”. Ya know Ben’s reading this one and loving it…
Poll: Women want to undress Affleck
NEW YORK (AP) – Ben Affleck is the movie star women most want to undress, according to an Internet poll. The 27-year-old Affleck, who has won an Academy Award and was a one-time companion of actress Gwyneth Paltrow, squeaked past Paltrow’s other former beau, Brad Pitt. Jon Stewart was voted the talk-show host most wanted to be de-briefed. More than 13,000 visitors responded to the poll conducted by Cosmopolitan magazine and Women.com Networks, Inc., according to the results posted Tuesday.
TONS Of Domga Advance Screenings…
- Radio stations, web sites, and colleges all around the country have all caught Dogma fever. There are TONS of free or almost free screenings happening in the next couple of weeks, giving YOU the chance to catch Dogma on the big screen before the rest of the country takes a look. If you read the past couple days’ news, you’ll see we’ve already mentioned a couple, now here’s a rundown of a bunch more that we’ve just recently learned of:
- There will be a screening of Dogma on Friday the 29th at Loew’s Cineplex City Place in Dallas. We’ve got no idea if this is the same Dallas screening we reported on yesterday, but rumor has it that tickets are circulating through critics and press type folks. Hopefully there may be some extra seats for fans at the show if people just show up, but it sounds like this one may be a closed screening. CHANCE OF ENTRY: LOW
- Dogma will be screened at Michigan State University on Wednesday, November 3rd at 8 PM. Tickets can be obtained this Friday night at 6:30 in Wells Hall. They are free for dorm residents, and $2 for students with ID (Rumor has it that they may also be made available to the general public for $5). - A Dartmouth College student tells us that there will be “sneak preview” of Dogma on campus the evening of November the 5th. No further details are available at this time.CHANCE OF ENTRY: ????
- The University of Maryland at College Park will be showing a sneak of Dogma next Thursday, November 4 at 7:30. Leading up to it, the rest of the Jersey trilogy will have “intimate” showings Monday through Wednesday at nine in the Rec Center Lounge. Advance tickets for Dogma can be picked up Wednesday at 4:00 in the Rec center or at one of the other shows. Students get priority, but the general public also has a good chance of making it in if they show up early enough. Unfortunately, due to renovations on the historic Hoff theatre, Dogma will be shown in the cavernous BioPsych lecture hall, but it is a sneak and it is free. Plus, college screenings usually include cool free stuff like posters or stickers. CHANCE OF ENTRY: HIGH
- KLLC “Alice” 97.3 in the San Francisco Bay Area is hosting a screening of Dogma. They’ve been giving tickets away all week (at various times) – Good luck! CHANCE OF ENTRY: IF YOU’RE LUCKY
- There will also be a preview screening of Dogma in Dallas other than the SportsRadio one that sold out. Saturday at 11 AM a pass for 2 will be given with a canned food donation at Off The Street at 4001 Cedar Springs in Dallas. The screening will be Wed. Nov. 3, 7:30 pm at the Loews Keystone theater in Dallas.CHANCE OF ENTRY: OUTSTANDING
We know you’ll all do your best to get into these screenings, but also trust you will PAY to go and see the flick opening weekend, as well! - Well, it’s just been about the busiest week since this site started, not a good combination with moving! We’re averaging about 100 e-mails a day now, so bear with us if responses come slow, it’s been almost a full-time job just keeping up with e-mails, let alone writing updates and such.
