- Wondering about that Dogma book in Previews? So are we. Kevin hasn’t mentioned anything about it happening, so we doubt we’ll see anything but the script book, which is fine — Plus, if ya look REALLY closely at the pic in Previews – The book says “A Screenplay by Kevin Smith”. So this could just be an error. We’ll keep ya posted.
- Believe it or not, Malcolm Ingram‘s new flick “Tail Lights Fade” has been released in Australia…ON VIDEO! How odd! The film has yet to be released theatrically anywhere, and we hear Malcolm’s fairly surprised as well. It was spotted at the chain “Video Ezy” down under about three weeks ago. Still no word on TLF’s release elsewhere in the world. And no, you STILL can’t see “Drawing Flies” anywhere!

The ‘Wizard’ Report…
- Zee’s back with a summary of the Kevin & View Askew stuff you’ll find in this month’s new issue of Wizard. And yet again, there’s a ton:
Page 24 – A quote by Kevin from early in the year about the impending birth of his baby : ‘”The wife loved the Harley character when I first started subjecting here to episodes of ‘Batman.’ For that reason alone we are praying for a girl.”
Page 32 – A picture of Jay and Silent Bob from the cover of J & SB #2. the aritcle itself is a profile on Oni, and of course mentions the fact the Kevin is a big part of that companies success.
Page 34 – Not really a specific Kevin story, but Wizard gave a thumbs down to Marvel for letting Mysterio die in Dardevil, but then having him reappear right after in the other books They even add the following comment (which seems decidedly pro-Kevin): “Note to Marvel: Dudes, the guy’s dead.”
Page 65 – This page shows that Kevin has definitely become established in the comic community. While profiling some up and coming comic book pros, J. Michael Straczynski ( of Babylon 5 and Rising Stars fame) is listed as the “next Kevin Smith.”
Page 102-103 – The big Dogma article that you guys already mentioned, including two pictures (Loki and Bartleby & Rufus, Serendipity and jay).
Page 145 – Kevin drops to #6 on the Wizard top 10 writers list.
Page 155 – A quick interview with Kevin. Here’s a few snippets:
“…I’ve had fans shake my hand, then tell me they’ve just given me one [a stink palm] and act like I’m supposed to have a good sense of humor about it because it’s in the movie”
“They’re [the sex stories from Chasing Amy] all made up.”
“I swear he [Ben Affleck] tried to get tongue in there [at the MTV Movie Awards] , but then again, he swears it was me.
“Salma’s one of the smartest people I’ve ever met, and I can’t imagine anyone being that much smarter than her.”

Page 166 – There is a fake cover for Green Arrow #1 which is written by Kevin. It’s titled “GA & Silent Harper” and has Silent Bob with a Green Arrow beard along with Jay posing as his sidekick. Very cool. Someone send us a scan!
More Info On Dogma Screenings…
- MSU Screening Update: A staff member tells us that admission and tickets are totally FREE! First come, first serve.
- There is a screening of Dogma in Connecticut on Thursday, Nov. 4, at the East Hartford Showcase. The general public should be able to win tickets from a radio station or get them from the Hartford Courant. No further information is available at this time.

- Whew, was this a LONG friggin week or WHAT?!?!? Anyway, with the weekend on the way, news has actually slowed down a little bit, as well. We’ve been adding some new pics and stories to the Dogma Benefit wrapup stuff, so be sure and check that out along with Dogma Rumor Control, which continues to be updated with new reviews and press stuff exclusive to that page.
