- Anyone wondering what Daredevil inker Jimmy Palmiotti’s been up to on the side since he scaled back his work in the comic field? Well, he’s been working on a weird/gross out/pornography website called Brooklyn Bizarro, of course. Jimmy says, “It’s just a sick fun place to put stuff up and cause a good laugh around the internet. It’s like the basement of a friend’s house when you are growing up, if you can understand what I mean.†All we can say is, enter at your own risk, and you kids get your parents’ permission! The site’s gotten quite an underground following going, and we can’t help but assume that some NA readers will be part of that following after this mention. Enjoy, but be careful…There’s some really nasty stuff in there!
- A new homemade indepdendent game called “TCMGame†will feature an appearance by your favorite dynamic duo. Here’s a screenshot. The game is set to release October 15, 2000. The guys are going for the old Nintendo look, hence the funny little people. You’ll fine the game at tcmgame.homepage.com. The company working on it is at Omnicidal Software.
- Those of you keeping up with the latest on Affleck’s “PEARL HARBOR†will find some new pics and an MPEG file at this site.
- Here’s a new parody of Chasing Amy courtesy of the Penny Arcade site. Click the thumbnail for a better look.
- And finally today, just to prove we cover the good with the bad, iFilm has rated Dogma as #18 in their article “25 Films To Drive Guests Awayâ€. To each his own, we suppose. These guys probably LOVED “Battlefield Earthâ€.
18. Dogma (1999)Need to push some serious folks out the door? Or religious fundamentalists? This baby will do ‘em both, big time. Director Kevin Smith’s main preoccupations seem to be oral sex, necrophilia, farts, drinking, smoking, porn and analyzing Star Wars to death. In other words, he’s relatively normal for a guy from New Jersey. Dogma is his “intellectual†picture (i.e., one of the silliest and most immature movies in recent memory—since Mallrats anyway). The plot: Two disbarred angels (eternally smirky Matt Damon and Ben Affleck) try to get back into heaven through a loophole in God’s plan. Controversial sacrilege ensues. Zzz…
