- We realize that tickets sold out VERY fast for Kevin’s New York City screening of Dogma this Saturday…BUT there MAY be hope. We can’t promise anything, but the Lincoln Center webpage says they may have a STANDBY line on the day of the show to sell tickets for any open seats left over from folks who don’t show or tix they never sold. So if ya don’t mind standing in line in NYC for a while on Saturday, you might still have a chance!
- Very surprisingly, Jeffrey Wells listed “VULGAR†as one of his must-see movies at the Toronto Film Festival this year. Check it out:
The 25th annual Toronto Film Festival is only six days away! I’ve picked out a minimum of 44 films that are necessary to see. But even on my best festival days I only see three films per day, which means I’ll probably miss about 14 of these. Two standouts are in the Discovery section: Vulgar, directed by Bryan Johnson and produced by Kevin Smith and Scott Mosier. (Besides the film, they’re having a Vulgar after-party). And Rape Me (Baise-moi), the French film from Viriginie Despentes and Coralie Trin Ti about a pair of marauding outlaw women who indulge in wild sex with a series of anonymous male partners, and then murder them. Created a big stir in France.
