  • Thanks again to Kevin & Scott, here’s the Monday pics! Three more exclusive, never-before-seen shots taken from the set of Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back. Pics are starting to run down, but we’re trying to have some more dug up for us, and hope to keep this feature rolling all the way up to the film’s release (if there’s enough shots). For now, click the thumbnails above and take your first looks at more of the cast, crew, and sets of the new View Askew flick.

  • There’s not much to report today after the slow holiday weekend, but there’s a few things in the mailbox to clean out. First of all, here’s a scan of a one-sheet on Eliza Dushku that appeared in Total Movie. Click the thumbnail to blow it up and read the print.
  • All this month the “Encore” movie channel is playing “Chasing Amy”. It is “salute to Ben Affleck” month. In the commericals for the flick, there’s an interview with Ben talking about how when he did “Amy” he was being called a star, “but where’s the money?” he said.
  • And finally today (yep, this is it!) More Affleck news from Page Six:
BEN: POLITICAL LEADER?
by RICHARD JOHNSON with PAULA FROELICH and CHRIS WILSON

BEN Affleck has decided he wants to run for public office. “My fantasy is that someday I’m independently wealthy enough that I’m not beholden to anybody, so I can run for Congress on the grounds that everyday people should be in government,” Affleck tells GQ. The actor, who is “everyday” the way Matt Damon is ordinary and Gwyneth Paltrow is common, said: “Not to get too Susan Sarandon on you, but part of what I’d get off on would be the oration, the speechmaking and the idea of leading.” We picture Harvey Weinstein as his secretary of state.
