  • A new interview appears today at Comic Book Resources, featuring pretty much anything and everything you could think to ask Kevin about his comic involvement, the opening of the Stash, his favorite flicks, and more. Here’s a snippet:
KG: Would you ever return to writing Daredevil again?

KS: The problem is monthly runs kind of conflict with my day job, so I have to pick them carefully. I’ve been offered a bunch of different things to write, like ‘The Authority’ (which I’ve yet to read, even though I’m a Millar fan), ‘The X-Men’ (which was too daunting to jump onto, due to all that continuity), and even ‘Daredevil’ (which I had zero interest in, if Quesada wasn’t drawing). But while a monthly ‘DD’ is out of the question, a one-shot or a hardcover story of some sort is not. Joe and I have talked about doing something along those lines.

You’ll definitely want to surf over and give the review a quick read HERE.

  • A new shot has appeared at the Dimension Films website as well as in Rolling Stone, though reversed. We’ve got a scan of that, a shot of Jay & Silent Bob with some pretty shocked looks on their faces, here. Sorry it doesn’t expand any further, it was this small in its original format. Dimension Films now lists the flick as COMING SOON on their site, as well. As we all know, the film is now slated for an August 24th release.
  • A new Newsweek article titled “Oops, They Did It Again” features a humorous quote from Scott Mosier discussing confidentiality agreements in the movies, specifically, Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back:
“We’ve been trying to keep things as secret as possible,” says Scott Mosier, producer of “Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back,” a follow-up of sorts to Kevin Smith’s “Clerks,” “Chasing Amy” and “Mallrats.” So what’s it about? “It’s sort of like ‘The Muppet Movie.’ Only without the Muppets. And rated R.”

  • We’ll start with an interview and end with an interview in this edition of NewsBites. This one’s an interview/article that comes from college paper “The Red & Black” in Athens, Georgia. Sounds like it was a tough piece, with questions coming via telephone from over a dozen reporters, but you’ll enjoy the quotes in there anyway. Read it HERE and we’ll see ya next time. Be sure and read on below as this was the second update of Tuesday (been a busy day!).
