• Vanilla Sky’s official trailer has surfaced, after AICN broke the news of the capture, Cinemovies has now posted the official Quicktime version. Askew favorite Jason Lee plays a part in this one, and shows up in the trailer, as the best friend of Tom Cruise’s character. The trailer’s quite cool, though it looks like about 95% the same as the Spanish Open Your Eyes that it’s remaking (some shots even look identical). It does seem like Cameron Crowe has chosen some interesting music for the film (at least, the trailer) and is carefully keeping scenes of Cruise’s character looking a certain way out of the trailer (to say more would spoil things). At any rate, you might want to check out the original film in the meantime, it’ll give you a good idea of what to expect and also how large of a part Lee will have in this one.
