Anderson on “Now You Know”, Tonight Show…

  • Jeff Anderson himself checked in with a clarification of a few reports we’ve been receiving about his upcoming flick, “Now You Know”, and that rumored appearance on the Tonight Show. This should answer all your questions, for now. We’ll give Jeff the floor here:
My only appearance on The Tonight Show With Jay Leno will be via the short Brian and I did couple of weeks ago with Kevin. If there is a rumor about me being “on” the show, it probably came off of the ‘Lumberyard Productions’ website. Why did they put it on there? Tell an over zealous indie producer you read a book from the Oprah book club and suddenly you’re the new Dr. Phil. Need I say more?

As far as Now You Know goes… we are apparently trying to set some sort of a record for the longest post-production ever. Maybe that too is a device thought up by my production team, I don’t know, but we are sloooooowly moving along. Trust me- when it’s done, the ‘view askewers’ will be the first to know. I’ll post so damn much info. on the message board I’ll likely get banned. (Don’t worry, my posts will be easy to distinguish they’ll be the ones NOT IN RED!! Na-Hip)

Hope this straightens out some of the confusion.

Oh, one other thing, there is a review on IMDB of NYK that was posted by someone who saw the film during the post process. It was NOT a screening. Even the cast and crew has not seen any of the movie yet… But I’m glad that person enjoyed it.

  • On the Reelbuff.com site, CLERKS has been declared the 45th best American film of the 90s.
  • Good Will Hunting airs in the UK tonight on BBC2: Sat 22 Dec, 21:25 – 23:25 120 mins.
  • Wolfpac mentions Jason Mewes in a song called “Pink in the middle.” There are only 300 copies of the free CD out right now, so it’s tough to come by – The exact line is “Talkin shit and bang your bitch like my name was Jason Mewes, [clip from ‘Clerks’] I’ll fuck anything that moves!”
  • An article on the charisma of comic book creators mentions Kevin:
Then there’s Kevin Smith. The epitome of geek chic, Smith has undoubted indie cred on the back of his movies, even though his closest musical equivalent is someone like They Might Be Giants. Smith’s name is a draw, and with his final New Jersey movie having been released internationally, his profile is higher than ever. He might not be a rock star, but he has ‘cool’ credentials, even if it is only that sort of hyper-refined slacker cool, and goodness knows he has Kids With Pink Hair And Piercings aplenty as apostles of his church.
