Good Reviews For O’Halloran & DDR…

  • “Drop Dead Roses” was screened in Phoenix recently, and one reader was in attendance with some nice things to say about the flick and Brian O’Halloran’s performance:
I just wanted to check in with a little news from Phoenix and today’s screening of drop Dead Roses, in case no one else has done so yet. I went to the 1:30 showing this afternoon, and in attendance were O’Halloran, the director, producer, and two of his co-stars. Interestingly enough Brian introduced the film rather than the director, and seemed to field most of the questions at the Q & A afterwards, even ones not pertaining to him of his performance. He seemed to have a real love for the film. He entertained the audience with a few jokes, and deftly fielded questions from the crowd of about 50 or 60. The requisite stupid Q & A questions were asked (”Was that an inside joke on Clerks” to which O’Halloran responded “More of an outside joke” as it was plainly obvious”) As for the film itself, Brian definitely shines and has progressed far since the Clerks days. While some scenes seemed thrown together and unnecessary, and the HD camerawork was no more than adequate, the flick was funny and Brian was great in it. Everyone is strongly encouraged to check it out if the opportunity ever arises.

O’Halloran was also reportedly spotted at a concert in Philly a couple weeks ago, signing autographs for fans! He’s always a very generous guy with the fans. We’ll keep you posted, hopefully “Drop Dead Roses” gets picked up for a release so the rest of us can check it out.
