  • The items just get cooler and more elite this week, with some fantastic View Askew swag up for grabs this time around — This week, you can own Justice’s backpage from Jay & Bob, Silent Bob’s Grappling Hook (made out of FOAM for the big screen), Steve-Dave’s rare anti-Bluntman & Chronic t-shirt, and, of course, more of those hard to come by signed posters from your favorite View Askew celebs. This is some way cool stuff, folks, so bid wisely — And if you win something, take good care of it! Place those bids over at View Askew’s very own auction block, Auctions Askew.

  • Kevin packed the house and entertained the crowd yet again last night, as he did his famous Q&A thing in Cincinnati. Some readers were lucky enough to attend the event, and we’ve got some short summaries of that above. No real groundbreaking information was revealed here, but you might be interested to at least read what went down.

  • The folks from Lumberyard Productions wish to thank all of you who attended the “Now You Know” screenings in Hollywood, as they were a huge success:
THANK YOU BOTH & THANK YOU VIEWASKEWERS! The two screenings we had in Los Angeles for Jeff Anderson’s “Now You Know” went EXTREMELY well! The theatre was packed both nights and everyone seemed to really enjoy Jeff’s directorial debut. Kevin and Jennifer even made a surprise appearance and Kevin introduced Jeff and the film. The movie is currently being looked at closely by several distributors that could really help get the film out there in theatres and video. Some ViewAskewers were asking when it will be back on the East Coast, and believe us, we’ll make sure you all know as soon as we do what the scoop is and where/when it will be released. All this was possible due to your support of Jeff and the screenings in LA, and from everyone involved in “Now You Know”, we wanted to send you a big THANKS for the support.

– Lumberyard Productions (Eric, Thomas & Alek)

We’ll keep you posted, and hopefully have some photos from the screenings for you to check out soon.

  • VideoScan’s DVD Consumer Sales chart for the week ending April 6 has J&SBSB at #12, and at #10 for the year to date.
  • Some Dutch promotional postcards apparently reveal a fancy new Jay & Bob site on the web: http://www.jayandsilentbob.nl/.
  • Just some clarification: Kevin’s Sci-Fi special will feature the winning entries from the Atomfilms.com Star Wars tribute contest (including one of the entries we mentioned yesterday). The winners will make their debut at SW Celebration II in Indiana on May 3rd, then on Sci-Fi later.
  • Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back will be playing for the last time at the Freak Show in Milwaukee, WI at the Times Cinema this Friday, April 19th at midnight! (Address: 5906 W. Vliet St.). Catch it while ya can.
