  • We warned ya! Hope you got tix if you wanted them! The Dogma/Q&A in Hollywood is oficially sold out, according to the Arclioght Cinemas website. Have fun, folks.
  • In the latest issue of Fangoria, #221 to be exact, there’s a bit of Jason Lee “Dreamcatcher” stuff. There’s a small pic of him fighting one of the movie’s creatures, as well as one of him watching animals pass by outside the cabin. He’s got a few quotes in the piece as well. Watch for scans soon.
  • In the Empire Online Movie Quote Quiz, a Mallrats quote appears in the hardcore section.
  • Kevin gets a slight mention in a DVDFile article from X-Men DVD producer Rob Meyer Burnett:
Could that be changing? Now, especially with DVD and so many cable and networks running making-of specials, some directors are becoming as recognizable as big stars.

Now, you have people like Kevin Smith and Quentin Tarantino, who put themselves in their own movies in major roles. And they also make themselves accessible to the public. They allow themselves to be known, which I do think rather cool.

  • Jay & Bob are neck-in-neck in the “Who’d You Rather” contest (edition #16) over at Liquid Generation.
  • At a recent screening of the new Pauly Shore flick “You’ll Never Wwiez In This Town Again”, Jay Mewes’ cameo got the loudest reaction from the crowd of them all. In the film, Mewes plays the announcer at a Pauly look-a-like contest.

IMPORTANT: Minnesota Correction!

We apologize for the mix-up. Our scooper had it wrong regarding the University of Minnesota show being free. Kevin’s appearance is definitely NOT free, although it is cheap – only $10. What is free, however, is Vincent Pereria’s appearance on March 24th. Tickets for both appearances can be found at the Coffman Memorial Union information desk on the first floor.

Also, in preparation for Kevin’s arrival, the University is offering free screenings of Clerks and Mallrats at CMU Theater on Tuesday. The show times for Clerks are at 9am, 1pm, and 5pm, and the show times for Mallrats are at 11am, and 3pm.

Check out as much as you can, you can’t go wrong with any of this stuff. We’ve seen Vincent’s film and heard him speak many times, and it’s always very informative and entertaining as well. Again, sorry for the mixed signals there, it did seem a little too good to be true, didn’t it?
