VJ Action: Brian, Jeff, Trevor, & A Donut…

  • We dunno about you, but we’ve been digging the brilliant Video Journals by Zak Knutson and Joey Figueroa that have been hitting the Clerks 2 site A LOT. Instead of just covering the filming itself, which we at first imagined, these things have been all over the map, from inside Kevin’s house, to the set, to candid conversations with crew members, even to fun homages, like the latest in the series today, “Mooby Dogs”, which opens with a tribute to one of Tarantino’s best. This one takes a few moments to chat up our three male leads of the picture. And as always, lots of brilliant sarcasm and a tiny bit of insight ensue, including an interesting revelation from Jeff Anderson regarding his thoughts on making the sequel.

And then there’s the “I Bet You” moment, which we’re so glad they captured on film, as it seems to be one of the most talked-about on the set so far. Not only is there $1000 at stake, but you’ll likely to also be watching a gaffer become a likely candidate for one of those “competitive eating” contests you see on those wacky cable channels.

As always, catch the latest Vlog action at the Clerks 2 site!

  • Is it just us, or is each and every Clerks 2 pic that’s showing up just making the wait seem tougher and tougher? Not only does it seem like JUST the right amount of minor spoilers are out there, but the set and color schemes look like this might be the brightest, most colorful View Askew flick yet — Quite an interesting contrast to the original from whence it comes, eh?

If you’ve been avoiding the pics due to spoilers, trust us — For the most part, there’s hardly anything spoilery there. Seems like just enough to whet the appetite. Plus, we’re assuming you’ll be watching all the flick’s trailers when they’re ready, and we’re betting that all of the stuff you’re seeing here will also be there. Trust us — You’re looking at two fans who love going into Kevin’s flicks as cold as possible, and even in running these sites, that’s always been possible. The magic of the movie remainds in the story and the dialogue, and we’ve got a feeling that this one’s going to bring it on like none before.

With all the talk of Kevin and Scott cutting this one together as they film it, you’re looking at two webmasters hoping for a fast turnaround and a theatrical release in mere months.
