- Tickets went on sale on Monday for the two amazing events in Hollywood to celebrate the arrival of Clerks II and Evening Harder on DVD — These events are at the awesome Cinespace, where you can eat, drink, and hang out with a bunch of fans — Oh, and did we mention Kevin Smith will be there, in person, as well? This is a much smaller, intimate event than a Thon, so we’re highly recommending you check it out. You’ll have lots more personal time to hang out with fellow fans and the man himself. Get your tickets NOW for both nights! Details are available there as well, or check our previous news for some FAQ. Both shows come with a free DVD (delivered after street date) and a night of fun with fans — And of course bragging rights to say you saw all these great extras well before the rest of the Askewniverse!

- The original “Clerks” will be screened tomorrow (Thursday) in Sacramento, California at the UA Arden Fair as part of their “Flashback Films” series. Tickets are only $5. It screens at 10:00pm. Hope some fans can make it out to see this classic as originally intended — In a dark theater with a fun crowd!
- Thanks to our loyal users, we’re very pleased to have the complete scans from the MAD Magazine “My Name Is Earl” parody. Click the cover and pages above to check out all the fun.
- Jason Lee’s “My Name Is Earl” season one DVDs are now on the streets, and enjoying outstanding reviews. Check out DVD Talk as well as Newsday for examples of this, screenshots, and more. It’s not View Askew, but it’s Jason Lee and we’re calling that a must-own. And did View Askew’s own Bryan Johnson really do the documentary for this set? Hmmm! Need more incentive? Check out a clip from the “Lost Pilot” extra at Amazon!
- A finalist from the AOL Gold Rush game states that he’d most like to hang with Kevin of all the celebs out there:
If you were stranded on a desert island and had to bring a celebrity with you, who would it be? Why?
At this point, I would probably have to bring Kevin Smith because he and I share similar interests and I could probably sit and talk with him and not get bored in the conversation while we were out there.
- And finally today, word has it that Kevin’s cameo in “Bottoms Up” is extended and runs in snippets from start to finish. We also hear Mewes holds his own as a leading man, though the flick itself suffers from Paris Hilton’s wooden acting and some bad editing. Check it out now for yourselves on DVD.
- And don’t forget! Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back is NOW OUT ON BLURAY. May be of interest for those of you with the latest expensive toys. And we’ll catch ya next time! Thanks for dropping by.
