- We heard rumblings about it last week, now the news is confirmed — Kevin’s announced the official “Evening Harder” DVD viewing party at Cinespace for Monday, November 6th, from 6 PM to midnight ! The $55 entry fee gets you admission into the beautiful location in Hollywood, CA, your own signed copy of “Evening Harder” on DVD, and 4 hours of fun with Kevin himself. Cinespace is a great place to throw a party, complete with a full bar and grill in addition to its screening room. Here’s Kevin with the full details:
1) There are 250 seats. Tix go on sale on Monday (offering ‘em up here first, to VA Boardies; after one week, any unsold tix get offered to the MySpace crew).
2) Entry fee gets you a signed “Evening Harder” disc, though not at the actual event itself. Once “Evening Harder” streets, then you get your DVD, which you can either pick up at the Stash, or have sent to you on street date (which may be moving).
3) If you’ve already ordered “Evening Harder” from the online Stash, you can’t cancel it to go to this (you’d be creating a nightmare for the online Stash folks). If you’ve already ordered “Evening Harder” from the Stash, AND you want to attend this, you’re gonna have two copies of “Evening Harder” (though, with Christmas coming, I imagine you can unload the second copy).
4) No bitching about #3.
5) We might be adding a Sunday screening event the day before this for another DVD watching party…
6) Cinespace also runs a bar and grill, so you can eat and drink while you watch four hours of “Evening Harder” (food and drink not included in entry fee).
7) This is gonna be pretty fucking cool/fun, and worth the trip for out-of-staters (I’m talking to you, East Coasters).
So, imagine this — A full grill cooking up yummy burgers, chicken, and other stuff – A full bar (so you can get a little buzzed while you watch the hilarity), a room full of crazy View Askew fans, and Kevin Smith, live and in person. This is easily one of the coolest events in View Askew history. We’re guessing a quick sell-out is going to happen this Monday, so we urge you, get those tickets FAST. November 6th, 6 PM to midnight! We’ll remind you when tix go on sale this Monday. Be prepared.
