NEW “Red State” Poster Courtesy “Ma’s Meatloaf”…
- Movie production company “Ma’s Meatloaf”, via a generous charitable donation to Eliza Dushku’s THARCE-Gulu Charity (bringing healing and hope to Northern Uganda), brings us the latest in character posters from “Red State”. This time, a look at Melissa Leo as Sarah. We absolutely love this poster reveal campaign, as it slowly introduces us to characters from the film, and at the same time, lets Web sites get noticed AND benefit charity. Brilliant.

The poster itself follows suit with most of the others; creepy damaged texture, black background, and a character. Ours is Sarah. In the trailer above, she’s in it very little – which tells me she’s up to no good in the flick. Especially with that one vacant smile she’s got. Want to meet her? Everyone, Sarah. Sarah, everyone.
Side note: I dig how Sarah’s looking up and in a previous poster featuring ‘The Father,’ he’s looking down – ah, the little things)

- Malcolm Ingram busted into the Asknewniverse way back in 1996 with “Drawing Flies”, and went on to direct the feature “Tail Lights Fade” before discovering a love for documentary filmmaking. After he followed the entire production of “Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back” with a handheld camera, he made the acclaimed “Small Town, Gay Bar” and “Bear Nation”. You may also know him from the SModcast Network’s “Blow Hard” podcast. Now, he’s raising funds to make his next documentary, “Continental”, and you can help make it all happen.
Through the use of a new crowd funding site called Kickstarter, you can donate as little as 5 bucks and receive special thanks, with recognition all the way up to film credits, producer credits, special prizes, and more. Malc’s looking to raise $20,000 to help fund a trip to Australia to film the backbone interview for the feature.
