- Looks like that all-important first cut of the film is already finished! With over 3 months until release, this is a good sign. Rumor has it that Dimension would like a cut of about 100 minutes, which is a little above average for a comedy these days, which means there’s over a half an hour of stuff to trim out at this point. You can safely assume that all of this stuff is going to be saved for DVD, though. Here’s Kevin:

Not bad. The first cut of ‘Dogma’ was over three hours.
We’ll spend the next few weeks getting the running time down to about 105 minutes so we can start testing the beast (most likely out here in the L.A. area).
I’ve gotta say, though – running time aside, it’s a really fucking funny flick.
