  • An April 2nd New York Times article on Hip-Hop found HERE opens with a Dogma mention. Here’s the paragraph pertaining to the flick:
Midway through “Dogma,” Kevin Smith’s unlikely stew of millennial theology and turn-of-the-century pop culture, Loki, the voluble, sociopathic angel of death played by Matt Damon, muses on his shortcomings as a prophet of mass taste. Specifically, he still can’t believe that “E.T.” was the Hollywood blockbuster of the 1980’s, instead of “Krush Groove,” Michael Schultz’s rags-to-riches showbiz parable featuring the rap group Run-D.M.C.

  • Those “Indie” trading cards we mentioned a while back are featured in scans online at TNT Roughcut’s website now. You can view Kev’s card and more HERE.
  • Chris Rock is featred in a short lampooning the ill-fated show “God, The Devil, & Bob”. You can find the animated piece on the WB site. Rock’s voice is slated to appear on the big screen in the animated “Osmosis Jones”, and we hope that Bill Murray signs to play the live-action actor whose body the film’s creatures inhabit [Word has it Murray would eat a bad meatball which starts all the problems. Classic stuff].
  • Check out the latest Entertainment Weekly for a review of the Daredevil: Visionaries trade paperback. We’ll post a transcript as soon as we receive one or their website posts it.
  • Oni Press will be releasing a collection of Clerks comic artist Jim Mahfood’s “Stupid Comics,” his newspaper strip, along with brand new comics exclusive to the collection.
