  • Scooper Travis tells us that, in the latest issue of Movielinemagaine, actresss Madeleine Stowe was asked what her favorite films of the year were, and shementiones “Chasing Amy”. Perhaps a possible candidate for Dogma’s “God” role?
  • Here’s another Amy mention, this one from the year-end wrap up of the Comic Buyer’s Guide (CBG). Thanks to Silent Rich for sending it our way:
“Amid all this super-hero fare, perhaps the most important comic-book movie ofthe year was “Chasing Amy”, Kevin Smith’s acclaimed relationship picture toldagainst a comics-industry backdrop. It’s a good bet that a fair number ofit’s customers would pay $7.50 just to watch costar Joey Lauren Adams doingher taxes, but no matter. Anything which portrays comics as a pursuit oftypical (well, sort of) adults is bound to help comics in the long run.”

  • Want to read the January 4th Asbury Park Press articles along WITH the full color picturesthat were included? They’re now online here. Even if you’veread the article already, it’s at least worth the trip to see the “cows” picture from onlocation during Big Helium Dog’s filming.
  • Finally today, since we don’t get much Jason Lee news around here, we’ve got a few moredetails from the set of “Enemy of the State”. Scooper Micah was on handto interview Jason and got a bit more insight into the scene. His words:
      SPOILER ALERT!!!

The scoop for the DC shot was this. It took place near Dupont Circle and the scene is abouthow J.Lee gets hold of some sensitive information on videotape. He ischased (what Dave saw filmed) down the block by FBI? men. He is on a bike andactually most of the shoooting was of the stunt double weaving throughtraffic. As the story goes, he slips the tape to Will in a store without willknowing and then Will’s life immediately changes for the worse. [Crucial plot stuffdeleted]…

      END OF SPOILERS
